Three days passed since the councils decision and we were preparing to leave.
I walked quickly to the rest of the fellowship, outside, preparing to leave.
"Evelyn", Aragorn called. "Can you assist Sam with his pony?"
I looked over to Sam, who was struggling to get the saddle on the pony.
Nodding back to Aragorn, I obliged and walked over to Sam.
After buckling on the seat, I decided to strike up conversation.
"So, Sam. What's his name?", I asked.
"bill", he responded. "And where did you get him from?", I asked. "Oh, I've had him for a long while",he said. "I've had him before I left the Shire. We'd been best pals for years. I don't know where I would be without him",almost right after Sam said this, Frodo walked in with lord Elrond behind him.
To be honest, Frodo looked a little frazzled. Like something or someone had scared him. I'll have to ask him later.
We were called over to all stand in front of lord Elrond. "I wish you all good luck and well being. May you find a deeper trust and meaning in yourself and others. And know, that when in need help will always come.", as he said the last sentence he placed his gaze on me. "Good luck", he seemed to direct his phrase to me only. I turned and saw the rest of the fellowship staring at me in confusion. But, I just brushed it off and ignored it.

We departed Rivendalle and went along our journey. But, mostly in silence. After several days across Forrest's and large plains, we stopped at the base of the Pass of Caradhras. Sam cooked everyone breakfast and after we ate Merry and Pippin practiced sword fighting with Boromir, while Aragorn was supervising and shouting out tips and mistakes.
I on the other hand sat on a rock to rest my weary legs.
That was when I sensed it. I sensed the presence of someone else, or something. Taking a second to think, I came to the conclusion that it was not something or someone that was apart of the fellowship. I heard very light foot steps against the rock. It was so quiet and so faint that only the most highly sensitive ears could hear it. Turning my head ever so slightly it had gotten a little louder. But just barely. Lightly jumping to my feet, I hoped over to stand on a rock, looking for the intruder. But there was no one there. I tried to seek the source but all I got was nothing. And the steps had stopped.
My thoughts were interrupted when I heard Gimli and Gandalf talking.
"If anyone would ask for my opinion, which they have not, I'd say we where taking the long way round", Gimli stated.
"Gandalf, we could pass through the mines of Moria. My cousin, Balin, could give us a royal welcome!",he boasted.
"No, Gimli", Gandalf responded.
"I would not pass through the mines of Moria unless I had no other choice."
I looked up to notice a strange "cloud" in the sky.
I jumped from rock to rock to where I stood by Gimli and Gandalf. I looked intensely at the strange object, trying to decipher what it was.
"Ah!",I heard Pippin cry.
"Oh, sorry!", Boromir apologized. Pippin and Merry yelled a battle cry and attacked Boromir.
"For the Shire!", Pippin yelled. And they knock Boromir down. Boromir laughs at the playfulness.
"What's that?",Sam asks.
"Nothing, just a wisp of cloud",Gimli reassures.
"It's moving fast...",Boromir adds. "Against the wind.",He finishes. Now that it's gotten closer, I could easily tell what it was.
