We made our way down the mountain. As we walked in silence, I thought back to when I was pulled out of the snow. How? What? When? Why? And who? I asked myself. First, I heard someone at the rocks. And now, second, I was pulled out of the snow by a ghost. My mind cluttered with questions and possibilities. I ended up giving myself a headache and decided to stop thinking about it, again. After a while, we made it down to the mountain and we came to a little swamp and a Great Wall.

"The wall of Moria",Gimli gasped in astonishment.

We walked closer to the walls and walked next to it on a pebbly trail next to the swamp.

"Dwarf doors are invisible when closed",Gimli stated to the hobbits, and tapping his axe on the wall.

"Yes Gimli, and even there masters can not find them if there secrets are forgotten",Gandalf seemed to correct him.

"Why doesn't that surprise me?",I said quietly, with a tiny bit of sarcasm hinted in my voice.

Gimli glared at me and I smirked ever so slightly. He then just sighed and ignored it. Frodo's foot accidentally slipped into the murky pond water, but he quickly pulled it out and cautiously looked around at the swamp. We came to one part of the wall where two clusters of trees stood. There seemed it to be something in between them, but there was just the wall. Gandalf slid his hand over the wall, bearing away the dirt and dust. This revealed an elvish pattern door outline. Gandalf mumbled something and then looked up at the moon. the clouds passed by it and the moon light shone upon the door way. The patterns lite up and Gandalf began to read the writing on the top of it.

"It reads 'Doors of Dóren. Lord of Moria, Speak friend and enter' ",he read. "What do you suppose that means?",Merry asked.

"Well, it's quiet simple. If you are a friend, you speak the password and the doors will open",Gandalf put his staff to the door and spoke in a loud voice the 'password'.

We wait, nothing happened, it was awkward. Gandalf tried a few more passwords, still nothing happened. After a while, we just kind of separated, not far from each other, but kind of did our own thing. A placed myself under a tree and got lost in my own thought. How can I be pulled out of the snow by someone, yet there be no one there? How can any of this happen? Maybe I should ask Aragorn... He knows like everyone.... Then again, maybe I shou-... My thoughts were replaced by movement and a voice beside me.

"Do you usually sit alone?",Boromir asks, walking over and sitting next to me.

"No",I responded.

"I simply just like to think",I finished.

"I see, so your not lonely?", he asks.

"No, sir",I answered.

"You know-",he was interrupted with a splash in the water.

I looked over to see the source and I find Merry and Pippin throwing rocks into the murky swamp water. Before I could even get up to restrain their efforts to entertain themselves, Aragorn grabbed Pippins arm, stopping him to throw another stone. He looked out to the water then down at Pippin and Merry.

"Do not disturb the water",he said in a hushed voice.

Boromir stood up and walked over to him. Both looking out into the water.

"Oh! It's useless!",Gandalf sighs in defeat.

"It's a riddle!",Frodo jumps up starring at the top of the door.

"What's the elvish word for 'friend'?",he asks.

"Mellon",Gandalf answers.

As soon as he said this the doors opened. We walked in and it was dark and gloomy. The stench of rotting flesh and death lingered in our faces when we entered.
