knock. knock. knock.

My slumber was interrupted by a loud rapping at the door. Groggily, I managed to get myself up and answer it.

"Hello?",I asked into the door.

"Good morning", It was Haldir.

"Why must I be awoken at this time, Haldir?", I was feeling a bit annoyed.

"First of all, it is nearly noon. And second of all, you are leaving for Rivendalle today.", he said.

Ah, yes. I remember last night now.

"Alright, but let me get dressed and have breakfast first, please sir", I replied in a sarcastic tone.

He just laughed and left me be.

After I got dressed and had breakfast, I packed some extra elvish clothing, including a dress for the council meeting. once I put up my hair, I heard another knock at the door. I knew who it was just by the gentleness of the sound. "Come in", I yelled. Just as I suspected, my mother walked in.

"Hello, my dear Evelyn", she said.

"Good evening, Mother", I greeted back. I looked up at her and she noticed my saddened look.

"My dear, come hither", I stood up and walked to her. She held out her arms with a welcoming warm smile. I collapsed in her loving embrace. Weeping in her arms, she stroked my hair.

"I-I...I d-don't-t... w-wa-want to l-leave you, M-m-mother",I cried very hard and I could not stop the tears from flowing.

"Hush, my child.", she cooed to me quietly."All will come to sense in time... You have just not yet found what you are looking for", I gave her a confused look. "What should I be looking for?", I asked.

"It has not yet come to pass, my dear. But, should you ever need me, you need only ask me.", she said. "How can I call for your presence if you are not able to hear me?", I asked.

"With this", she held up a beautiful necklace with a Purple stone in the middle. "Mother, it's beautiful. Thank you", I gasped at the jewelry and she put it around my neck. "This necklace will protect you from being tracked and you can summon my conciseness to you", she explained.

"Thank you, Mother.", I said with watery eyes. I hugged her again, but or embrace was interrupted by a knock on the door. "My lady, your horse is ready to depart", A servant informed.

"Aright, thank you. I will be down in a moment", I responded. "Yes, My lady", he said and left. I looked back up at my mother for the last time in a long time.

"I'm not ready to leave", I said to her. She looked deep into my eyes and answered with soft smile,"Of course you are. It is your destiny", I gave her one last hug and depart Lothlóerin.

After the long journey to Rivendalle, I came galloping in on my horse. Apparently, I was right behind another man, and behind me were dwarves. Galloping through the gates, I jumped of my horse and looked around. Rivrndalle was a very beautiful place. It was defiantly an elvish city.

"Ah, My Lady Evelyn, welcome to Rivendalle",I turned to meet my speaker. It was lord Elrond.

"My lord Elrond, it is an honor", I said bowing down.

"Please, the honor is mine. Thank you for joining us in this matter of time", He said bowing down to me. I was led to my room and rest for my journey was long.

The next day the council was held.

"Strangers from distant lands, friends of old. You have been summoned here to answer the treat of Mordor.", Elrond looked at everyone.
