It's two years after the battle at Zzyx. Seth and Kendra are homeschooled at Fablehaven, and named the backup caretakers of Fablehaven. One day, on an errand to the nearest town, Kendra runs into two people. They instantly recognize her for what she is, they chat, and there's an edge of differentness to them. When Kendra leaves and goes back home, she's informed they will be having guests. Lo and behold, guess who turns up?
