The Parabatai Child

Chapter 1

  "Emma," Tessa started. Tessa didn't know what to say in these situations. James and Lucie didn't have their children at 17. "Do you know who the father is?" Emma nodded and looked at the floor. "Well I don't see what the issue is. Magnus and Alec adopted Max before they got engaged, people in the shadowworld are having families much earlier in life-" Tessa stoped because Emma was looking at her with tears in her eyes. "The problem isn't how early in my life it is, the problem is the father. No offence, but why do you think I contacted you and not Clary. Because you nor Jem is a part of the clave" Emma had to chock back tears. She hated crying, because that showed weakness. And she was a worrior, so she couldn't show weakness. But she can to Tessa, because she trusted Tessa.
     "Emma," Tessa started. "Who is the father? I need to know in order to help you." Emma took a deep breath "It's Jules. And because it's him, I would like to take up Jem's prevous offer. That is if you would still let me." Again, Emma hated being emotional. She hated it even more when she had to accept help from people. Tessa had a look on her face that was indescribable. It was filled with pain twords Emma "But the test might be wrong Emma. I mean, you have the birth control rune don't you?" "Yeah I was thinking about that. But if runes put on by your Parabatai are stonger, could runes that are supposed to prevent certin things from happining happend if you do certin things with your Parabatai?"
Tessa looked confused. "I have no clue what you are say."
"What Emma is trying to say is that the birth control rune could fail if you sleep with your parabatai. Sorry I took so long." A figure who said that was now in Emma's doorway.  She was about Emma's height, has icy green eyes and firey red hair.
"Clary? What are you doing here?" Said Emma. Emma looked at Tessa who held a straight face "You told her didn't you?"
"Well Emma, both myself and Tessa care about you deeply. So when you sent the "'I need help"' text to Tessa, Tessa called me and we got here as soon as we could." Said Clary. Emma thought that was touching. Until Clary said "we"
"Clary, who else is near my room? Come out guys, I know you are out there!" Yelled Emma.
From outside came Jace Herondale, Magnus Bane, Isabelle Lightwood, and Simon Lewis/Lovelance. "Oh the Angel Raziel! Why did you all come?" Emma was so stressed out. Normally when she was stressed out, she would jump off of high beams to perfect her landings. Given the situation at hand, she couldn't really do that anymore. Since now there were six other people in the room who were all there for her, she could't exactly sneek out and sit on the roof. While everyone was talking, she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned around and saw Izzy Lightwood. "Come on," Izzy said. "I can tell that you want to get out of here and quiet frankly, I do to."
      Izzy and Emma ended up in Julian's studio. It had windows all around and a door that was ment for only Julian. Emma blushed at the memory when he "princess carried" her into there and she saw dozens of images, and they were all of her. Emma and Isabelle sat down with a perfect view outside.
"Why did you choose here?" Isabelle asked.
"I guess it reminds me of Julian." Emma put her knees to her chest and put her head in-between her knees. "I just want to get out of here, for good. I have to protect all of them from the clave, even if it means I never get to see them again."
"What are you talking about? I can't tell you how many times Jace has said "'I don't deserve Clary. She needs to be protected from me, I'm not good enough for her"' and the list goes on. But no matter what, you will always have the need to protect the ones you love. This sounds crazy, but going off to live with Jem and Tessa for a few months, isin't a bad idea. I mean, you'll come back with a baby and the clave will have a lot of questions for you but, Julian will be waiting. They don't know about you and Julian, so they shouldn't ask if he is the baby daddy." As soon as Isabelle said baby daddy, Emma started to day dream. She imagined waking up net to Julian, and their kid bouncing on their bed, telling them to wake up and begging Julian to make his pancakes. She Imagined Julian teaching their son or daughter to paint. She imagined herself putting Cortana into her child hands and telling them of the Carstairs like her father did to her. Jem playing the violin to her child. She snapped out of daydreaming when Tessa came in with all of her belongings packed in bags.
"I didn't mean to interrupt, but Julian just Texted you and he's going to be back in about 20 minutes. And from what I gathered, you don't want anyone to know about this. So we are going to have to leave soon."
    Everyone went home exept for Tessa. Even though Emma had everything packed and redy to go, she wanted to write letters to everyone, saying that she wanted to get away for a while and don't come looking for her. But everyone had their own personal letters, because Emma though she owed them more than a single goodbye. No, she needed to tell Dru that she is beautiful despite her body image issues. She needed to tell Tavvy that the nightmares he has at night, shows how much strength he has and how brave he is. She needed to tell Ty that he is perfect that there is nothing wrong with him. She needed to thank Livvy for everything she has done with Ty. She needed to tell Mark and Helen how much they mean to Julian. And for Julian's letter, she explained how much he meant to her. How she wished that everything would be different. How becoming parabatai was the best thing that had ever happened to her and she wished things were different.She even left Kit a note, telling him to listen and that training with the Blackthrons was the best he could do. She then left all of the letters on their beds, folded with their name on it. But when she got to Julian's room, she took in the smell of him. How she wouldn't have this scent lingering around her for the angle knows how long. After she got out Julian's room, Tessa already had a portal ready for her in her room. In the distance, she could see the red Toyota coming back which meant it was now or never. Emma looked back at everything of hers that Tessa made sure Emma couldn't be tracked. Emma jumped into the portal, and never looked back.
