I can’t be contented just by seeing her sad everyday and doing nothing. I can’t take to see those empty smiles...

If only I could do something..

Pero ano ang magagawa ko? Ni hawakan nga siya hindi ko magawa. Bakit ba kasi ako ganito? I’m just a powerless guardian angel to her.

“Guardians should not meddle with lives of the mortals, and most of all, they shouldn’t be carried by their emotions. You know that!” Sabi ng Lolo Pedro, and Pangulong Tagabantay.

“I know, pero kailangan ko siyang tulungan! Please!...”

“I’m afraid hindi pwede. Yan ang batas ng Diyos.”

“Ang mga pakpak ko…Isusuko ko ang mga pakapak ko!”

“Don’t be a fool my son…We can’t do anything about their lives…We needed our wings…Without them—“

“But—“

“No but’s. Go on. Gawin mo na ang trabaho mo…”

At ngayon. Heto ako…Kasama niya na naglalakad sa may kalsada. I know…She’s alone again. She don’t even know that I am with her…

Palangiti siya sa harap ng mga tao pero, when she’s alone, she can’t even manage a single smile at all…

It’s a fact that haunts me…

Ang magagawa ko lang ay bantayan siya at ilayo siya sa pahamak…

Pero palpak ako, hindi ko nagawa ng mabuti ang obligasyon ko… I left my eyes from her for a second because of my stupid thoughts, stupid ideas, and now she’s in danger…

A large Billboard is going to fall down on her! And she didn’t even know it!

It’s my fault! I haven’t warned her. I’m useless Guardian.

And now….

Anong magagawa ko? Ni hindi ko mahawakan  ang paligid ko! Hindi ko siya kayang protekahan!

Then a blinding light surrounded me! I felt something…Parang may kakaiba…Parang may kakaiba sa akin…I felt the lightness from my back…

Could it be?

My wings are gone!

I have no time to ensure everything first but I ran to her. It was awkward. I can feel her heat as I pulled her away as I hugged her tightly.

“What happened?” she said, puzzled.

Tinatanong ba niya ako? Can she see me?

“Yung Billboard.” Sabay turo sa nalaglag na bagay.

“Thanks!” nakangiti niyang sabi. ^_^

A sincere smile..

What’s this? I’m feeling something. Something warm in my chest. Hinawakan ko ang dibdib ko. May pumipintig.
