It had been months since Y/N brought up the idea of courting Charles. Since then, Charles accepted and the two were happy. They kept their romance a secret but still enjoyed their time together.

"Miss Y/N, hurry up! Your family is waiting for you for the lake trip." Charles said as he smoothed his hair. Y/N stepped out of the room in her usual garb, along with a small suitcase with her spare dress. "I'm ready", she smiled. Charles nodded and held his arm, which she took.

"Aren't you excited for the lake trip, Charlie?" Y/N smiled as she put her head on his bicep. "I haven't thought about it too much. I just want to keep you safe." He pecked her cheek, causing her to blush and giggle like a schoolgirl.

Timeskip

Y/N smiled as she sketched Charles. He was rowing the boat while her parents and Sebastian took another boat. "You're a very handsome man. Do you know that?" She mused as she put detail into his side-swept hair.

Charles held back a smirk. He shrugged and looked away. "You're such a playful little girl." He shook his head and winked at her. Y/N finished the sketch and showed it to Charles. He blushed and looked away. "Like I said, a playful little girl."

Y/N looked around to see if her parents were looking and smiled once she saw they weren't. She glanced at Charles Lee and saw him focused on the rowing the boat. Y/N grinned and leaned in for a quick kiss.

Charles was completely caught off guard. He didn't know how to react...except by pulling her in close and kissing back. Once he finally let go, Y/N let out a laugh while Charles blushed and held back a smirk.

"You're a coy, little mistress, aren't you?" Charles asked while Y/N dipped a hand in the cool water.

"I'm not sure if that's meant to be a complaint or compliment, Mr. Lee." Y/N's large eyes flickered towards him and back to the water. "But I suppose I am."

Charles nodded and stopped rowing after arriving at the river bank. Sebastian followed shortly after.

"So, what's the plan, Sebastian?" Charles asked as he helped the enigmatic butler set up the picnic for the family.

"Well, the L/Ns planned for a picnic and then, a short walk around the woods. I think that's a fine idea. We don't know when it might be blown to bits by both armies", muttered the English butler. Lee 'hmph'ed in response.
