The week went by really quickly. It was Friday night now. You were laying in bed when you heard a knock on your window. The knocking kept going for a good 5 minutes before you finally decided to see what it was. You step out onto the little porch hanging out of your bedroom. You look down and see Louis throwing stones at you. One goes flying but you duck just in time. You scream.
"Sorry." He says embarrassed.
"It's ok but what are you doing here? It's almost midnight!" You say.
"I need to talk to you." He says as he's shuffling his feet in the dirt.
"Well come up! It's cold out there!"
He walks over to a tree that leans against your porch and climbed up. He jumped over the edge and almost slipped backwards but you grabbed his wrist pulling him up.
"Thanks." He says.
You open the window leading him to your bed and you both take a seat. You both sit in silence for a while. Louis is looking at you for the longest time before he finally says something.
"I've been thinking, we've been best friends for forever..." He pauses and takes a deep breath.
"And I've always liked you but just not in that way. Ever since this summer when we started speaking to each other less and less I realized I missed you."
You could see beads of sweat forming on his forehead.
"So Y/N, I don't want that to happen again so will you um... Will you please be my girlfriend?" He asks.
You feel like you're about to pass out. You've never had a boyfriend. Louis had always been the closest thing to one all your life even while he was dating other girls.
You open your mouth to respond.
"Louis I..."
