~Seker's POV~

I got out of the shower, and I had heard Jayn's muffled voice through the wall.
I ruffled my hair with the towel before wrapping it around my waist, leaving my eyepatch on the counter. I stared at my ruined eye, my ruined hands...

I started crying weakly, tears running down my face.
"I'll never be beautiful..." I said weakly, picking at the ragged scars on my face. I had cut them open a million times, from flashbacks...
"Jayn is an angel." I said, my voice grim," I'm a demon."

~Jayn's POV~

I was standing outside the bathroom when I heard Seker talking to himself.
"Ugly... A disappointment..." Seker cried softly, sobbing into his hand.
"Seker, you're beautiful. You're my angel." I said, and he went quiet before the door opened and lips were pressed against mine.

"I'm not an angel..." He said softly," I wish I was..."
"You are an angel." I said sternly, taking his face in my hands and running my thumb along his ruined cheek and eye. "You might be broken, but you're always going to be an angel."
He was crying, kissing me again.
"Why are you so amazing?" He murmured weakly, his eye locked on mine.
"You're what makes me amazing." I said, smiling at him and he smiled back.

"We're going to Mom's, by the way." I said later, after I had managed to calm Seker down and make him feel better. It was a struggle.
"Oh? I miss Mrs. Holiday." Seker said, looking over at me and smiling shyly.
"You know you can just call her Summer... You're an adult, Seker."
"I know... I just feel bad when I call her by her first name..."
"She doesn't mind."
"I know."
I sighed, then shrugged.
"Will Mr. Holiday be there?" He was kinda skittish around my father.
"Yeah." I looked over at him and said," Don't worry, okay? We can get some drinks afterwards, if you want. " Neither one of us had drank alcohol before-- we were too nervous when we first turned 21.
"I don't know... That sounds bad..." He said weakly.
"It'll be fun, I promise." I smiled and walked over to him, brushing the hair out of his eye.
"Okay..." He nodded-- the hair falling back into his eye.
"I need to cut your hair." I murmured, frowning.
"Cut my hair?" He blinked at me in confusion.
HE'S NEVER HAD A HAIRCUT BEFORE?!?!
"Yeah. It's all in your face..." I murmured, sighing. "Come 'ere." I led him into the bathroom and sat him down in front of the mirror, grabbing my scissors and comb. I put the scissors in my mouth, combing out Seker's hair so that it was as straight as possible. I trimmed the ends of dark brown hair, the comb taking the scissors' place in my mouth. I didn't realize how long his hair actually was until I straightened it out and cut off an inch. When it was straightened out, it was halfway to the middle of his back, and now it was curled up on his neck. I sighed and cut his bangs in the front, not cutting off as much. But he looked a lot more put together with his hair cut.
Not to mention, he looked 15 again. Minus the little bit of blonde peach fuzz on his chin. I chuckled and kissed him quickly. He smiled at me shyly.

We had come so far...

Seker and I got into the car, with him messing with his hair. He was still acting odd, but it was okay. It was going to be a long drive. 5 hours, to be exact. Not to mention traffic.

Seker ended up falling asleep against me, while I drove. I chuckled and kissed his forehead. The traffic was awful.
"Baby, wake up." I murmured. He groaned softly, but didn't wake up. He was sleeping really well. I sighed. He was my only form of entertainment, and now he was asleep.

We finally got there, Seker luckily didn't sleep the whole time. I yawned and Seker helped me out, since I was falling asleep where I was. He carried me inside and set me down at the door. He rang the doorbell and my mom answered.
"Jayn! Seker!" She said happily, hugging us tightly. Seker smiled and hugged her back, and I smiled. I missed being home.
"Hi, mom." I said, as she ushered us inside and sat us down on the couch.
"Okay! Tell me, how many kids are you two going to have??"

Both Seker and my face lit up," Mom!" I cried, eyes wide. Seker covered his face with his hands.
"I'm kidding! I'm kidding!" She laughed.
Seker was acting extremely shy now, burying his face in my shoulder.
"Look, you scared poor Seker."
"Sorry, sorry! Couldn't help it." She said, sighing," But, seriously, when are you two getting married? Don't lie either, I see that ring!"
"I-I... Mom, this isn't an engagement ring.." I murmured softly, blushing," It was a present from Seker..."
Seker murmured," It was supposed to be..."
"It was??"
"Y-Yeah..."
"B-But that's okay... I really don't mind... I'm just glad you like it..."
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"I-I was scared..." He murmured softly, sighing softly.
"Oh, Seker, don't be scared!"
"I couldn't help it..."

My mom said, after Seker had gone up to my room to take a nap," So, he hasn't proposed?"
I shook my head," No, Mom..."
"He should."
"Why though, Mom?"
"Because you've been together for years. And you two live together." She said sternly, frowning at me," Don't you want him to propose?"

"Really? No. I don't want anything to change."
"Nothing is going to change, I swear to you." She said, smiling," You two already act like a married couple, anyways. Plus, it would be good for you. Both of you seem to want more, right?"
"No. I like how it is now. Please don't tell me you've been pressuring Seker into proposing to me..."
"Whoops. Guilty as charged." She smiled sheepishly," I really want to plan your wedding!"

Like I said. Ultimate Fangirl.

"Mom! Poor Seker, no wonder he's been so anxious..." I sighed weakly, closing my eyes and pinching the bridge of my nose.
"Sorry." She murmured," I'm just so excited!" She smiled at me, then I heard Seker come downstairs.
"What's with all the racket?" He mumbled sleepily, rubbing his eye. I forgot we left his eyepatch at the house... Oh no. His hair wasn't covering his eye and was sticking up in all directions.
My mom snickered slightly at first, until she saw his eye. She looked at me in alarm and I shook my head. She relaxed slightly then smiled at Seker," Sorry, honey."
"Mm... It's okay..." He mumbled, going over to me and burying his face in my neck sleepily.
I stroked his hair while my mother was freaking out in front of me. She was grinning from ear to ear and squealing quietly. I murmured," Seker, baby, how are you feeling?"
"My head hurts..." He said softly," I want to go back to sleep but I can't..."
I pulled away from him and felt his forehead. It felt like I was touching a hot stove. I quickly yanked my hand away, eyes wide.
"Mom, can you get the thermometer?" I asked, starting to lead Seker up the stairs. She nodded and darted off.
"Jayn, what's wrong with me?" He said weakly, looking at me with his eye huge.
"Nothing, baby. You just have a fever. It'll be okay." I smiled at him, and he weakly smiled back.
