~Jayn's POV~

I stumbled out of the rain, sobbing into my hand weakly. My father tried to help me up the stairs but I pushed him away.
How could I let this happen? I cried into my pillow for hours... I wish it was Seker's chest...

~Seker's POV~

I sat in the rain, despite it feeling like acid on my bare skin. I couldn't really control myself... I had some sort of tunnel vision... All I remember was being thrown into the mud-- on my face. The rain had washed most of it away, but it was clumped up in my hair. I whined loudly at the door, feeling like a dog... I scratched on the door weakly. I was starving... But why did my teeth taste of blood?

Then I crumpled over, the hunger pains feeling like bullets. I hissed in pain, curling up in a ball as my vision blurred. I acted on instinct. I started growling and snarling angrily. I jumped the fence, my body already trying to find someone to drag away...

~Jayn's POV~
I decided to check on Seker, since the rain had calmed down slightly. But when I opened the door, he was gone.
"Seker?!?" I stumbled outside, eyes wide. Then he jumped over the fence, a terrified look on his face.
He was covered in blood.
"Seker!" I cried, catching him in my arms. He was breathing heavily, the blood was all over him and dripped on me. His hair was stained red, his cheeks having dripping blood.
"Help me..." He said weakly, before his eye widened and he fell forwards.
"Weakling." A voice growled, Seker falling to the ground with a knife in his back.
"Seker!" I cried, eyes huge. "Who are you?!?"

"How do you not remember me?"
I grit my teeth and growled," Who are you?!"

"Ashton Marborne."

My breath got caught in my throat and I stumbled backwards.
"Its funny, I look just like him and you still didn't realize it was me." He pulled off his hood, revealing a scary looking Ashton. Blood was on his cheek.
"This boy thinks he can get away with attacking me? I don't think so."
"Wh-What?!?" I picked up Seker quickly, he was having trouble standing on his own.
"He tried to eat me!" Ashton growled," Figure it out! Get that thing away from me!"
Seker pulled the knife out of his back.
"S-Sh-Shut up..." He growled, then tried to stab his twin brother. Ashton moved out of the way, leaving Seker stumbling to try and regain his balance.
"Stop!"
"L-Let m-me e-eat..." He growled, trying to stab his brother again.
"Seker!" I wrapped my arms around him, hugging him tightly. Suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my shoulder, and I felt blood run down my chest.
"A-Ah..." I said weakly, as he slowly ripped the flesh away from my shoulder. I fought back tears, rubbing his back gingerly.
"Sh... It's okay now..." I said softly, as he swallowed. He laid on me weakly.
"Monster." Ashton growled," How could you do that to someone you love?"
Seker stiffened. I wasn't strong enough to hold him back... He sat me down gingerly then growled," What was that?"
"Monster. That's what I called you." Ashton growled, Seker leaped at him-- biting down on his arm. Ashton shrieked and my mother came running out of the house.
"Jayn!" Was the last thing I heard before I fell backwards and blacked out.

~Seker's POV~

I let go of Ashton's arm, picking up Jayn in my arms weakly.
"Jayn..." I cried weakly, before I heard Summer scream. And I felt a cold blade slide in between my shoulder blades.

I can't breathe... I can't breathe!

Summer ran over to us, which chased off Ashton. I was still holding Jayn, tears streaming down the side of my face.
"J-Jayn..." I croaked weakly, before my vision blurred and I fell forwards.

I can't move...
Help Jayn... Please...

~Jayn's POV~

My eyes burned as soon as I opened them. Everything was bright white.
A hospital. I glanced around, to see Seker in the bed next to me. On his back. His tattoos fully exposed to the bright white light. I groaned," S-Seker..." I reached my hand out, trying to touch him. His face was pointed towards me. And it looked like he was sleeping... But his eyepatch had been removed and the scars were clearly visible. I was too far away to touch him, my hand falling down. I looked at his back again, it was bandaged up and I glanced at my shoulder. It was also bandaged.

"Are you awake?" My mother's sweet voice calmed me down slightly.
"Y-Yeah... H-How is S-Seker?" I croaked out.
"He has to have surgery..."
"N-No..." I cried weakly. My throat burned.
"He has some internal damage, plus his stomach didn't heal correctly, so they're going to try and reset it."
"Will h-he be n-normal a-again?"
"No... They said the physiological damage was too much to fix. "

I sighed, then looked over at Seker.
"But... He might die."
"No!" I sat up quickly, a fiery pain going through my shoulder.
"Jayn... Lay back down..."

"No! Not until you make sure Seker is going to be okay!" I felt tears running down my face.
"I-I'll try." She looked kinda scared, and then I heard Seker shifting in his bed...
