You're beautiful. His words spoke inside her head. She stepped away awkwardly. "I meant what I said earlier Penelope." She almost snorted. "You need glasses, dude." Jimin's smile dropped and Penelope became guilty. "I'm not beautiful, Jimin." She croaked. "I'm fat, extremely pale and it looks like a mole pooped across my face." Jimin snorted, finding the description she gave herself silly. She was so off on the description but all he did was shake his head. "You're something else, Penelope. Something else." HE sighed contently, enjoying the conversation between himself and his cupcake. Penelope blushed at the sight of his small smile as he stared at the sky. Did I... do that? Jimin was busy thinking how cutely she was staring at him, he giggled. Penelope was shocked and looked away embarrassed when Jimin turned to look at her, still giggling. "Let's take you home, cupcake." He excitedly said, grabbing her right hand in his left one and holding her close to his side.

DID THIS MOCHI JUST CALL ME CUPCAKE?

Jimin was hyper, for having too much Penelope satisfied his sweet tooth and increased his hyperactivity. Penelope found him strange and unusual. He was always rambling to Penelope about cupcakes or himself. He called her cupcake, with sprinkles on top and full of love. He called her cute, causing Penelope to go from sprinkles to a dash of red sugar. Jimin couldn't get enough of her. She sweet, plump and fluffy. Just like a cupcake. Everyone had taken note of Jimin's attraction to the beautiful girl but began to spread rumors of Penelope spreading something other than frosting. Although those words had never reached Penelope's ears, much to Jimin's relief, he had surely heard them and made his heart cringe.

One afternoon, after school, Jimin spotted Penelope leaving the girls locker room in sweats and a t-shirt. His heart became warm and fuzzy, suddenly feeling energized after a draining day. He excused himself from the group of people and walked towards her. He looked down at his attire, a hoodie, and sweats, and smiled in content. HE did not have to change. Jimin walked out and saw Penelope running out on the track. He grinned widely, admiring her as she pushed to run around the curve. "Beautiful," he mumbled, beginning to jog. Meanwhile, Penelope was slowly wishing that after running for three minutes, she had the body that she wished for.

Being the weight that she'd been for two years after gaining twenty pounds each year since she was ten, weighing 263 at 18, It's been difficult to be who she wanted to be. She was antisocial when her elementary friends neglected for not being thin. She sat alone, although surrounded by many people. They'd leave a gap between them and Penelope, and the seat across was left empty. Being in the country you live in; few people weigh as much as you do. Sometimes she'd try to sit with her brother but he'd tell her there wasn't any space or to leave him alone and "go sit with her friends". She didn't have any and Yoongi didn't know that till 7th grade when Penelope didn't show up to class. Being the one to leave in the morning for practice, he never noticed if Penelope did too until she didn't show up to school. She would've attended that day if she hadn't been called a whale and told that she should at least cut down a few hundred pounds. Literally cut.

She had tripped when one of them pushed her from behind and she stumbled into a puddle. Soaked from her knees to her breasts, she ran out of the school gates and stopped after a couple of minutes to catch her breath. Yoongi found her at the park while it was raining. She was sitting on the merry go round, her backpack safely dry under a tree, where she should've been sitting. Yoongi slowly walked to her and almost cried her name till he heard a sniffle. It broke his heart. Never had he seen sister cry. She was almost so ecstatic and hyperactive. Their father made her laugh repeatedly and her relationship with his mother was the best anyone could have seen. The concerned Oppa didn't know that although being happy in the hours spent at home, she'd sit on the edge of her window, crying her eyes out till 2 am. She became extremely insecure and gave up trying to dress up, wearing only jeans and a big t-shirt. It was all she could afford, for the clothes her size ranged from $12 to sometimes even $40. Her jeans were at least $45, the good ones that lasted long and $22 if they were some cheap, rundown place like Forever21. There had been many times when she'd try to cut down her food but found herself having a second plate or a fourth pizza. She'd cry about it later and deemed herself pathetic. She didn't make a friend, one who didn't seem to see her for the big girl she was, but for the big heart that was damaged from so much pain. An equally broken girl name JaeHee; new student, quiet and insecure for being too thin, became her friend when she was ridiculed for having skinny arms and scars on her wrist. Of course, Penelope received harder blows for stepping up to the girls who've bullied her whole life, but JaeHee was glad someone had finally done something. Having a friend, JaeHee stopped cutting and slowly felt better about herself and hoped Penelope did too. But for Penny, it wasn't easy. Especially when JaeHee began to date her older brother, someone Penelope disliked for not being the brother he should be. She didn't blame Yoongi though. No one wanted to be anything to her. But not eating for almost two weeks and looking almost a bit thinner made Penelope feel better. She was happier yet slowly weaker and chose to ignore it. She'd at least it an apple she kept from lunch and eat it before running. She didn't wanna risk fainting on the track and having the whole school making fun of her for losing consciousness while exercising.

THAT'D BE A NIGHTMARE.
