A Stranger {Youngjae, JB, 2Jae}

11 pm...

That's what the phone told Youngjae when he clicked the button to light it up. Already 11, and still not a single message from JB. For the fact how little Youngjae usually used his phone, today he has done nothing but checked it for a message from JB. Stop being so pathetic. Youngjae tells himself, but he was promised a message. 

Youngjae got up from bed, and made his way down to the kitchen, deciding that he wants a snack. He was really up for eating healthily, but one late snack wasn't going to affect him at all. He was surprised when he walked into the kitchen to find Lilah on the phone to someone, and Coco jumping like mad at her feet. 

"Alright Mark, make sure you rest. Coco misses you! I'm so proud of you!" Mark? So he has time to stay on the phone to Lilah, but JB doesn't have time to send him a simple message? Youngjae doesn't say a word, just goes to the fridge and gets himself a small snack and a carton of juice. "Mark just called, apparently it's so nice there!" Lilah says once she has hang up the phone. 

"Oh yeah?" Youngjae doesn't want to come across as rude, but he didn't want to hear what it's like from her, or from Mark. He wants to wait to see what JB tells him. 

"Have you not spoken to JB yet?" The worry could be heard from Lilah's voice, she didn't want her best friend to be sad. 

"Nope," Youngjae shrugs, sitting down by the table and eating his snack, taking occasional sips form his drink. 

"I'm sure he just got caught up," Lilah adds, patting Youngjae on the back as she walks past him. "I'm going to get some rest, Coco is restless, can she stay with you?" 

"Okaii..." Youngjae didn't mind, at least he wouldn't be alone, some company is better than none. After all, he did promise Mark he'd look after her properly. Mark wasn't sure if he would be able to keep her at the dorm, as he didn't know who he is sharing it with, and it would not work if another member of the dormitory was allergic to dogs.

"Don't stay up too late alright? I'm sure he will message you eventually," Lilah leaves a small kiss on Youngjae's cheek and makes her way to her room. When she did small gestures like that, they were never taken in the wrong way, she was just like a sister figure to Youngjae. 

Coco stays by Youngjae's feet, waiting for him to finish his snack and drink and to later settle down into bed. Youngjae sighs and lets his shoulders drop a little, he knew this would be the feeling he had to battle with. Once he's done, he cleans up after himself and picks up Coco's bed, taking it to his room. Coco follows behind Youngjae, following as if she had no one else. Youngjae set her bed up in the corner, and then went into his en suite to put some water into the bowl he had in his room for her. He then got changed into something more comfortable to sleep in and got into bed. 

"One more check..." Youngjae sighs as he lights up his phone, only to not find any notifications from the older boy at all. Disappointed, Youngjae turns off his bedside lamp and puts the phone down to charge. There's silence in the room, there's silence in the whole house. Youngjae tosses and turns, not being able to get comfortable. His bed sheets had a hint of JB, from the times they would cuddle on his bed, or when he would stay because Youngjae wanted him to. Suddenly, Youngjae is shook (insert Jungkook) from his thoughts when he hears Coco whining and whimpering, he sits up and looks at her.

"Come here then," no matter what, he always gives in to Coco. As she runs up to his bed, he bend down and picks her up, putting her on the bed. She instantly lies down by his feet, laying down and instantly falling asleep. "Wish I could fall asleep so easy," Youngjae smiles at the small fluffy ball by his legs, knowing that his company was able to let her calm down.

"Youngjae! You're going to be late!" Lilah knocks on his door for what feels like the hundredth time this morning, did Youngjae forget about University? More importantly, the exams he had to take? 

"I'm up..." Youngjae mumbles, allowing himself to sit up slowly. When his eyes make contact with his clock on the bedside table, they widen in shock. He was going to be late. Almost faster than the speed of light, Youngjae rushed into his en suite to have a quick shower, washing his hair, body and not forgetting to brush his teeth. The moment he got out he put on some black ripped skinny jeans along with a white shirt and a plain grey hoodie. He didn't have anyone to impress. Youngjae then put all of his books and notes into his bag, zipped it up and rushed down the stairs. 

"Youngjae breakfast!" Lilah calls from the kitchen, suddenly a very hyper Coco appearing, wanting Youngjae to play. 

"Coco I will play later," Youngjae says as he rushes to the kitchen, taking a ready made bag of food from Lilah's hands. "Thank you," Youngjae thanks Lilah, panicking that he will be late for his exam. Coco follows him all the way back to the front door, giving Youngjae no option but to throw the toy for her and quickly get out the door. 

It wasn't cold, but it wasn't exactly warm either. Youngjae decided not to risk the train, and got a taxi instead, he was aware it would cost him more, but he needed to be on time. Once he got to the Uni, he paid his tariff to the driver and got out of the car. Thank god he made it on time.

Youngjae answered every question on his test, remembering the time he was getting tips from JB about music and what could come up. It made him slightly sad, but also happy, if he passes this test it will be thanks to that time JB made him do revision. 

On the train back home, Youngjae only just started the breakfast that Lilah prepared for him. The bag contained a neatly cut sandwich, an apple and a small cereal bar. Youngjae munched on them as he watched the landscape go past him. That's when it occurred to him, he did not have his phone.  The more he thought about it the more he wanted to get off the train and just sprint home. Surely by now he would have a message from JB, right?
