Thank you so much for 3K views! You guys are amazing! I appreciate you all!
Youngjae unlocked the front door, his head hanging and his fingers numb. He has no idea why JB would just stand him up like that, and felt stupid for putting in all that effort to impress him. Absolutely pointless.
"Youngjae-ah?!" Lilah's eyes widen as she sees a drenched Youngjae, immediately putting her cup of tea on the living room table and rushing to him. "Why are you home so early? And why didn't you catch a taxi home? Pabo!" She rushes around to the kitchen and grabs some towels from the cupboard. Youngjae smiles slightly, knowing that he is really lucky to have a best friend like her.
"Go on, take off the shirt, it's sticking to you you're gonna get sick!" Youngjae does as she asks, and she wraps a towel around him, taking the wet shirt and hanging it over the radiator.
"I... I'm just gonna, erm, go up and get out of these jeans..." Youngjae sighs and makes his way upstairs to his room, where he finds Coco sleeping peacefully. He takes off his wet clothes and gets into his pj bottoms and a loose top. The towel Lilah gave him he uses to dry his hair at least that little bit. As he makes his way back down, he sees that Lilah has got out two blankets on the sofa and she is watching her kdrama again. Youngjae goes and sits next to her, cuddling into the blanket to warm himself up some more.
"Here's some warm tea," Lilah passes it to him, her eyes staying glued to the TV.
"Thank you," He says to her and drinks some of the tea, she made his favourite. Youngjae tries to watch the kdrama with Lilah but he cannot concentrate on it at all. "He stood me up..." Youngjae says quietly, making Lilah's eyes go wide.
"He did what?" She almost shouts.
"He never turned up... Lilah what do I do wrong?" He sighs, not knowing why he has such bad luck to love and to JB.
"Awh baby, you don't do anything wrong! He's the one in the wrong, he's the one who left you waiting, and in the rain! He didn't even text you to let you know?" She asks.
"No, nothing at all..." Youngjae sighs.
"You deserve better than him, please Youngjae, know that you are an amazing person and that anyone would be lucky to have you!" Lilah gives her best friend a hug, which he happily accepts. JB stands outside their flat door, hearing the conversation and biting his lip. The urge to knock on the door and explain and apologize to Youngjae is high. He also wanted to convince Lilah that he is good enough for Youngjae, she didn't want him to think he's not good enough.
"Thank you, I'm just going to go up okaii?" Youngjae says to which Lilah nods. He gives a small kiss to her forehead and makes his way up the stairs. There, he sits on the bed and cuddles Coco, letting his tears fall.
JB is still hesitant whether to knock on the door or not, in fear of Lilah not letting him see or explain anything to Youngjae. But what does he have to lose? Either he tries to explain and there's a chance that Youngjae will want to listen and possibly forgive, or he walks away and that chance gets smaller and smaller. JB lets out a sigh, before he knocks on the door nervously.
"You have the guts to show up here?" Lilah stands in the door her arms crossed. She can see that JB is too, drenched from the rain, but it doesn't make her feel sorry for him at all.
"Lilah please," JB sigh, running his hand through his wet hair. "I didn't mean to not be there on time! Lilah please!" He keeps begging.
"Give me one good reason why I should let you in? All you do is hurt him! If you are that stuck up now because you are an 'idol' then Youngjae doesn't need you in his life!" Lilah uses her fingers as quotations marks on the word idol.
