Chapter 9: The Departure

Today's the day of the quest. Last night's dream was worse than all of the others.

*Dream*

Nico's screams of pain radiated through the cave, as well as whipping sounds and sword slashes. I watched as with every slash or strike he would be asked a question.

"Boy, where is your girlfriend?"

He stays silent, and his face is cut by the edge of his own sword.

"Where is camp half blood?!"

Nico stays silent and glares at the Cyclopes.

The creature smirks at the hanging boy and says "Your friends will try to rescue you... But you might as well be dead by the time they get here."

Nico's glare becomes darker but you can see that he is frightened.

"If you.... dare touch... Raven...or.. Anyone else.. from... camp half blood... I will kill you!" his voice is shaky at first and cracked often but at the end he screamed it to the Cyclopes but his voice held truth and power.

"I dare you to try little boy," the Cyclopes cackled creepily.

Nico glared and with most of his strength he rose his tied up leg and kicked the Cyclopes in his eye.

The Cyclopes cried out in pain and put his gigantic hand around Nico's neck and growled under his breath, "You will never see her again."

*End of dream*

I shot up straight in bed to see a worried Jason by my bed side.

"Raven! I was so worried that you wouldn't wake up! You were tossing and turning and you kept saying Nico's name. Did you heave another dream? Are you ok?"

I put a small smile on my face.

"Jason I'm fine, and yes I had another dream," I answered his questions. "But I do know one thing, if we don't hurry Nico will be in huge danger."

He nods and I look at the time to see that it's 1am.

Looking at him gravely I speak, "Its time."

His eyes widen and he sighs, hugging me. "Ok, but sis please be careful, I don't want to lose you yet. I mean I just met you, you're the closest thing I've have to a sister since Thalia left. Promise you'll return?" I could feel Jason starting to tear up.

"Jason, you can't get rid of me that easily! Of course I'll come back," I shouted with enthusiasm. But even as I said it, I couldn't look him in the eyes.

"See you when I get back Jason," I whispered in his ear, before hugging him one last time.

Then I went to the door and pulled it open to see Annabeth and Shane standing there about to knock.

"You guys ready?" I asked nervously.

They both nodded stiffly, and we started on our way.

Short chapter but I thought it would be a good place to end it.... I'm really sorry that I haven't posted in forever but I had a lot of stupid shit going on but I promise you guys I'll try harder. But I don't know when I'm gonna update again because some of my classes are giving me a shit ton of work so we will just have to see. comment if you read this authors note btw because I wanna see if anyone actually reads them.
