"Excuse me," Elise huffed as the leather bound book was ripped from her fingers.

"You've been excused," Pan said bitterly, gritting his teeth and looking down at her. He turned the book around and maintained eye contact all the while.

"Hey!" She yelled, trying to grab the book back. "That's personal!" She whined as he moved the book further from her reach.

"Oh really? Well you see love, there's no such thing as personal on Neverland," he gritted. He then turned to the side and looked down at the book, giving Elise a perfect view of his profile, which glowed due to the campfire behind him. The side of his face that she could see shadowed, and she huffed, crossing her arms and looking down in defeat.

His eyes flicked up and down as he flipped the torn pages, that were dusted with age. Something in his expression changed as he saw all the things she'd sketched, and he grabbed her hand as he snapped the book shut.

"Come with me," he said in a hushed tone.

"No," she said firmly, planting her feet in the ground and refusing to move.

"What?" His eyes darkened, his head tilted, and everything around them went silent. The only sound was the crackling of the fire behind Pan.

"I said no. I'm done doing everything you tell me. I didn't ask to come here. I'm done with your games, Pan," she managed to snatch the book back from his hands, considering he was still so shocked, and whipped around.

"Where do you think you're going?" He asked darkly, all the Lost Boys watching. She kept walking.

"Home," she replied calmly.

"And how do you suppose you do that?" He asked, a bit angrier, lifting his head up and watching her.

"Whos knows, but it's gonna happen," she huffed. Suddenly Pan appeared before her, and she fell back, but he caught her by her shirt.

"I don't think you understand. No one gets off this island without my permission, sweetheart," he growled. Her eyes widened and she gulped, but she put on her tough girl persona and glared at him.

"I'll find a way," she fought back. He only smirked, dropping her, and grabbing the book before she fell into the dirt.

"Hey!"

He walked closer to the fire, all the Lost Boys backing up so they wouldn't get into trouble.

"What're you doing?" She asked, turning around but still sitting on the ground.

"You see, Elise, this is what happens when you don't listen," he held the book close to his chest and faced her, his whole body just a silhouette to her. She watched as he pulled it away and held the book over the fire.

"NO!" She screamed. He stared at her and let it slip through his fingers gently, but caught it as she stood to get it.

"Are you willing to listen?" He asked, holding it closer as she stood up. She looked between him and the only thing she cared about.

"Yes," she nodded, biting her tongue and looking down in submission. He smiled in pleasure.

"Good girl," he pulled the book back and held it out for her to come take it. She let out a sigh of relief and lifted a hand to take it back from it.

"Thank you," she whispered, reaching out. He let it slip through his fingers and dropped it, the book landing with a puff of dirt at it hit the ground. She looked at him in confusion and furrowed her brows.

"My bad," he said innocently, shrugging it off. She only rolled her eyes and bent down to get the book, but just before her fingers touched it, Pan kicked her right in the side of her head. Ther was a loud crack, that made all the Lost Boys flinch, and Pan only looked down at the pathetic girl screaming in pain. She closed her eyes and grabbed her head in pain. Eventually, she opened her eyes just as Pan's boots stopped right in front of her. She could only see his calves down and saw his hand reach down to grab the book. She rolled onto her back and squeezed her eyes shut again, looking up at him after she'd regained a bit more focus. "I think I'll keep this," he said calmly, flipping through the pages again. "But just as a warning, love," she looked up and saw him stop and tear a page from the book.

"W-What're you doing?" She winced. He took the page and revealed it to the group. A sketch of one of the Lost Boys. That particular boy received a glare from Pan and looked down as he dropped the page into the flames, that burnt it up hungrily.

"No!" She managed to yelp out. rolling over and trying to grab the page before it fell. But she couldn't catch it in time. Pan continued to flip through the pages until he finally flipped to one that made him freeze. He stared at it for quite some time. And Elise knew which one it was.

"We're done here," he mumbled, dropping, but practically throwing the book next to her face. It landed facing upwards, and the same page revealed. The page with Pan's face on it. She reached out and grabbed it, closing it and keeping the book underneath herself, watching as Pan walked off in deep thought.
