"Well ... shit" I looked around and there were only Dracs from what I could see. They all seemed to be frozen staring at us with their same blank faces. They seemed to divide down the middle and there was the man himself. "Korse" I spat.
He was looking at the Dracs then when he made eye contact with me we stopped suddenly. I had never faced Korse in flesh and blood before it was the first time I had ever seen his face before and HE WAS BLUSHING. I whispered to Cyanide "You okay, can you shoot?" She only nodded and rose from my arms.
I noticed that Hummingbird was beside Korse. He spoke "I am prepared to make a deal with you. If you tell me your Killjoy names, I will let you go." Cyanide spoke "What's it to you?" He chuckled and spoke "My patience is running thin. Brats." I whispered to Violet and Cyanide, "Let's give him fake names or ghosted names." Violet and Cyanide nodded.
Violet spoke first "My name is Crazy Confetti" Korse nodded then Cyanide spoke up "Green Mouse" I looked him in the eye and said "Blood Thorn" He reached into his pocket and pulled out a remote and pressed a button. All of the Dracs turned and marched into a car with Korse following.
We ran to my car started it and drove about 2 blocks then we heard the sirens go off and a BL/ind car was right on our tail. "I guess Korse changed his mind about letting us go." I floored it while Cyanide and Violet shot the car. I noticed another Killjoy car in front of us. It was a beat up Trans Am. It was almost leading us to an exit.
"Fuck, my hand" Violet shouted. "Hold on, we're almost there. Give or take a couple blocks." Cyanide blocked a couple shots and looked over. "You'll be fine just put pressure on the wound and block the flow of blood." I raced with the car in front of us we were side by side.
I didn't dare look over at them. I recognized that car anywhere. Then I heard it. A huge explosion 5 blocks behind us that stopped all over the Dracs in their places. It was like someone pressed pause on them. By then we had just crossed over into the Zones.
