Chapter 5: The Man at the bar

5 Minutes Prior.

Genji shot his head up in a sence of an odd presence.

In the midst of the shimadas mediation session, hanzo could feel genji in a state of uncomfortableness.

"What is wrong brother?" Hanzo said keeping his concentration.

Genji turned his head in the direction of the overwatch headquarters.

"You do not sense it brother?" Genji said softly, Eyes directly locked on the HQ.

Genji stood up from his position on the ground and focused on the presence.

Hanzo opened his eyes to see genji broken from his session.

"What is it do you sense?"

"I....im not sure brother..."

Genji felt a wave of emotions from this unknown source; power, strength, gentleness, kindness,...love. The aura was...overwhelming.

Genji soaked in the emotions and started rushing towards the building.

Hanzo watching genji run towards the building, decided not to follow and continue his mediation. If he was the only one sensing it, it did not concern hanzo.

Genji followed the trail to the main hall and turned to see you talking with lena, lucio, and jesse at the bar.

'him...'

That incredibly strong force genji felt radiated from you.

Genji stared at you confused...he has never met you before in his life...but somehow, he felt like he knew you for all his life and he knew nothing about you.

He saw you laugh and smile as his eyes grew wider under his mask. Such beauty.... He couldnt help but, feel a little offput considering he's never emmited feelings like this for another male before.

He observed you getting up from your chair and walking over to reinhardt. He had noticed reinhardt earlier trying to take his tight helmet off his head and he never got it off, until he watched you pull his helmet off with ease as you placed hands all over his helmet.

'What did he do?...'

As he took the helmet off he looked at reinhardts face as sweat dripped down, he noticed his breathing patterns were off taking in deep breaths.

'Could that have something to do with his abilities?'

You walked back to your stool and sat down next to your friends observing the other people that were in the room.

'Who is this man....'

He was too focused on trying to figure out who you were he didn't notice your eyes meeting his.

Genji finally snapped out of it when he noticed the group was now looking at him.

He could feel his cheeks blush beat red and he walked away out of embaressement.

He has never acted like that before. Towards anyone....what made you so special?

He stopped in the middle of the hall as he could feel your aura radiate softly like he could feel your every emotion. He sensed that...you were smiling. He blushed a little bit at the thought and walked back in the direction of the main hall.

He stopped once he came to his realization.

'I must find out who he is...'

Walking back towards the food court.
He took notice that lucio and lena were gone and it was only you and mccree.

Now is the perfect opportunity to talk.

Genji approached the bar as mccree moved his eyes to genji's.

"Well there you are shimada! We've been wondering why you've been all suspicious." Mccree said with gusto.

"I have nothing to hide mccree."

"Well hi the..." You were about to finish your sentence before genji interupted.

"May i speak with you in private please...."

Genji saw your eyes grow as you took in the sudden request.

"Um...ok ha"

Following the ninja cyborg, you couldn't help the fact that he seemed... Serious yet very timid.

Pulling you out into the halls he turned to you.

"So?...What's up?" You started giving him a confused look and smile.

Even though you couldn't help but, feel an odd connection with the man you highly doubted he felt the same...until he started his sentence.

"Have i seen you somewhere before?...."

So he had felt the connection...

"I feel as though we have met before..." Genji continued.

It was odd you knew that he was being genuine about his thoughts because you had that weird vibe too but, at the same time you couldn't help but feel that he was trying to flirt.

"Ha, no..." There was a slight pause,"...i dont think we've met before..." You flashed a smile at him trying to make the situation better for him.

"Why do you ask?"

There was another pause. Genji looked away for a minute, "Nothing, you just felt familiar."

"I felt familiar?"

"It is hard to explain..."

"No i get it.....i feel it too."

Genji looked up from his dissapointment and felt better at the similar feelings between the two of you.

"You do?"

"Ya! I felt it when you were staring at me. Ha." You said being geniune and honest as possible, a little flirty as well still maintaining that adorable smile.

Genji could feel his cheeks burn up at the statement.

"I am truly sorry about that....,Forgive me for not asking sooner but, what is your name?"

You smiled again.

"My name is (y/n), nice to meet you genji." As you raised up a hand being respectful.

Genji looked at your hand for a second and hesitated to raise his up to meet yours but, did so out of respect.

He took your hand to shake it and felt a sudden and sharp wave of emotions.

Both yours and genji's eyes widened at the phenomenon. Raising your eyes to meet his. You both knew that each other were going be special.
