"Adam you're in danger, we have to get you out of here," explained Ben as he stood up.
"Why? What'd I do?" asked Adam as he grabbed his things.
They were about to head to the elevator when it signaled that someone was coming up.
"The Chainsaw Killer aka Jak Lindross wants you dead for the same reason he wanted Bobby Donovan dead... You know too much," explained Ben as he drew his Glock from his shoulder holster, "Is there another way out of here?"
"There is the stairwell near my workspace, the elevator Jak's in or there is the window," replied Adam, "Knowing too much isn't a first for me."
Ben and Wolf looked at him weird,
"Stay low and stay behind us, if you die it's gonna' be a shit load of paper work," ordered Ben.
Jak stepped off the elevator; he was feeling quite happy, the cops walked right past him downstairs and now he can kill Adam and the two cops. He walked into the huge office space and to his surprise Adam and the two cops were no where to be seen. He continued to move around the office space looking for Adam.
-------
Ben and Wolf watched as Jak prowled around the office looking in all the cubicles. Nathan was right; this guy was tall and looked very strong.
"Wolf, call Bryan, Jac and Seeley, tell them what's going on," whispered Ben.
Ben, Wolf and Adam were crouched low behind one of the cubicles, dodging around avoiding Jak.
Ben looked at Wolf calling Bryan then at Adam who was beginning to shake.
It was silent for a bit until Ben's phone went off; Ben practically jumped, he fumbled for the phone then answered; it was Jane.
Wolf looked at Jak heading toward where they were. Wolf tapped Ben on the shoulder then pointed to Jak coming their way.
"Jane...What's...uh, can I call you back. Now is not the best time," whispered Ben,
"Why is it a bad time?-" Ben repeated, "Because we're currently hiding behind a wall avoiding a serial killer that's prowling through an office space looking for us."
Ben looked at the phone then at Wolf,
"She hung up on me," added Ben.
"Bryan, Seeley and Jac are about five minutes away," noted Wolf
Ben had had enough; he stood up and stared at the Chainsaw Killer.
"You," yelled Ben as he pointed to Jak, "I've had enough of you; it's because of you that my wife and I are having problems. You had to come to Los Angeles, why couldn't you just stay in Miami?"
Ben was that angry that he threw his phone at Jak.
Jak smiled and let out a small chuckle,
"Benjiman Starsky, you have only yourself to blame; you will realize this when I kill you, your family and your friends," explained Jak slyly.
Wolf elbowed Ben in the leg to get his attention; it didn't work. Wolf stood up,
"Ben, are you high?" asked Wolf, "There's a serial killer standing a few feet away from you and you're yelling at him."
Jak pulled a 12 gauge shotgun from behind his back.
'Uh...time to go," panicked Wolf as he grabbed Ben and Adam and ran across the room toward Adam's workspace.
They ducked several times to avoid the slugs which pierced though the cubicle walls sending debris flying.
"Chainsaw Killer my ass, where'd the 12 gauge come from?" panicked Wolf.
