"Come out, come out wherever you are, bug." StarScream cooed, his foot steps as quiet as he could manage for a 4-ton robot. But Aubrey heard them, even over the pounding in her ears. And they were getting closer to where she hid.

Aubrey had tears running down her cheeks. She hadn't exactly helped the situation, but at least Cliff might be able to handle two grunts rather than a commander. She had to find a way to lose StarScream and get back to him.. But how?

Aubrey stood in the darkest corner of some huge lab, filled with weird tools and huge needles (she couldn't stand regular sized needles, but robot sized? They were hard to look at..) and large cylinders filled with mysterious liquids that lined the walls. Probably not the best place to hide in..

"I'm going to find you, so you might as well come out now. Maybe I'll spare your friend if you do," StarScream called again, but Aubrey tried to zone him out. He was lying. If Aubrey didn't find a way to ditch him, the second he squeezed Aubrey in half he'd go back to Cliff and finish him. So she stood quietly shaking in the corner.

"Aha! Found you, locust!" He hissed, and Aubrey sprinted out into the open and underneath some large testing table. StarScream growled in irritation, knocking everything off the table. Aubrey yelped as it all came crashing down at her. She rolled out of the way of a large glass beaker, shattering inches away. Getting to her feet again she took a step back without even thinking, a test tube twice her size breaking up and sent flying pieces of glass her way. She felt the sting as one shard whipped at her face, a straight line cut across her cheek almost instantly started dripping blood. Turning to run away, a large needle holding some glowing liquid came at her too fast for her to dodge. She turned, using her arm to protect her chest from the needle. It dug in, and she could feel the liquid flow into her arm. Aubrey shook off the needle, the glass cracking apart to let the liquid form a puddle. Ignoring the pulsing pain in her arm, she put a hand on the wound and turned to run out of the room. StarScream was close behind, only to slip on the the strange subtance.

"Gah!!" He yelped, landing on his rear and buying Aubrey time to escape into another room.

Aubrey only saw more control panels, with writing she couldn't read. She looked around, noticing a tightly sealed door on the wall. When she was quiet, over the hum of machinery, she could hear the air blasting outside the ship.

Maybe... Maybe it's an airlock! Aubrey thought hopefully. If only she knew how to open it, maybe she could trick StarScream... Aubrey noticed a bright red button covered in a plastic case. That had to be it! Aubrey took her hand off the wound, hand slightly stained with blood. Aubrey bit her lip. She was squeamish, and hated the feeling as blood ran down her arm.

"Just hang on Cliff.." Aubrey muttered, starting to climb up the control panel, ignoring the screaming pain in her arm as she pulled herself up onto the counter. It was just in time, too. StarScream came stomping in, optics wide with rage.

"No more hiding, fleshing!" He hissed, claws curled into fists. Aubrey narrowed her eyes angrily at the bot, waiting until he walked close enough to the airlock.

"My name's Aubrey, jerk!!" She screamed, flipping up the plastic cover and stomped on the button with all her weight. Sure enough, the door slid open, and StarScream's optics looked around in fear, trying to find something to grab. But there was nothing, so the jet got sucked to the door, his claws scraping at the edge of the doorway for grip. But they just slowly slid off and StarScream was gone with a quiet fwoosh sound. Aubrey had been clinging onto the plastic with one arm, and she lifted her feet and stomped the button a second time. The door slid close again, and the rest of the world was shut out.
