Ch.7

"Help!" I screamed. It was the fire dream again. But it seemed so real. "SKYLER RUN!" Mavis yelled. "MAVIS HELP ME!" I shrieked. She opened her mouth, I expected to wake up just like every other time in a cold sweat and in tears, but, instead she was cut off by a shadow appearing in the other side of the room. After 2 minutes, the shadow disappeared, and in it's place a girl my age. She walked across the room and walked gracefully through the roaring fire. She now stood in front of me so I could see her clearly. She had long hazel hair, bright silver eyes, a light pink nightgown, and no shoes. She had a tired but sweet and innocent look to her face.

She took her small, frail hand and gently put it to my cheek. Suddenly, I felt like I had to look into her eyes, I couldn't bring myself to look away. Her eyes seemed like a never ending grey spiral.

She removed her hand from my face and placed it on my wrist. She smiled knowingly at me. She lifted my hand, palm up, to face the still burning fire. I cocked my head to the side, not knowing what she meant. She tapped my fingertips, which sent chills down my hand. I knew what she meant!

I slowly and shakily stood up. I raised my hand, pointing my hand outward. I closed my eyes and breathed deeply. I felt as though air was flowing quickly out if my hand. I opened my eyes to see snowflakes blasting out of my palm and putting out the fire! I gasped. I saw Mavis's wide smile across the room.

The girl walked to Mavis and brought her back to me. She linked all three pairs of our hands in a circle and spoke in a soft sweet voice. "You're specials. Both of you." She smiled, grabbing Mavis's hand. She pointed her palm in the same position as mine towards the snow piled beginning to melt. Red heat rays shot out, evaporating the piles in seconds.

They both turned back to me. The girl smiled widely. "Use your powers wisely. I'll always be here when you truly are in need. I must leave you two now." She said starting to disappear. "Wait! We don't know your name!" I said quickly.

"Sierra. My name is Sierra." She said before disappearing.

I woke and sat up. But, this time I wasn't sweating or crying, I was smiling and laying back down. I fell almost instantly back to sleep.
