The Question

The Question

Through the steady flow of time
We fight to be the best
Up the chain we try to climb
Its our ultimate life quest
Through all the falsehood and deceit
The friction starts to grow
Everyone fighting builds up heat
Till suddenly it blows

Through the course of history
Recorded with the pen
We learn that selfishness brings misery
Again and again
Our claws of greed cause damage
Pain not healed by sutures
Time always repeats itself
Study the past to save the future

So look deep within your soul
At the scars you cannot show
They've created a gaping hole
Your fears your greatest foe
Fear eats away at us
Creates a warped reflection
Is it possible to trust?
That, my friend, is the age old question
