This is my first story posted on here tell me what you think the story is all my own creation. I'm open for honest judgements by everyone but I ask that you don't be to harsh about it thank you!(: hope you like my story.

----------------------------------

The timer was ticking down every second come on you can do this finish this it can't be that hard! I thought feverishly. Red, blue, and yellow wires enveloped themselves in a ball of knots I had to find the right one but which one was it!! The pressuring stares of those silently studying my reactions behind me felt like they where burning holes into the shoulder blades of my back. I didn't know which one to cut if I cut the wrong one the alarm would go off. if I didn't cut any I would fail and my face would be welcomed to a puff of pink smoke/steam when the timer hit zero. Who knew defusing a harmless bomb would be such a challenge in the middle of a camp competition??

If I accomplished this task my team would win, but why did I feel like I wasn't going to win? My frustration got the better of me and I grabbed all the wires and yanked hard on them all pulling them out of there designated connections the device made a weird clunk beep sound and shut off completely.

I blinked with my eyebrows raised at the strange sound it made the judges looked at me surprised by my reaction as if they had never had someone react this way before on this given task. My team knew I was a genius when it came to creating a masterpiece that could make serious damage to any given area but not the one to defuse a harmless piece of junk that was a total waste of my valuable time.

I grinned and threw the tool in my hand aside and walked off, I was ready to punch idiot in my team who had the brilliant idea to sign me up for this useless gig, and for costing me this public humiliation. The very fact that I even participated was an advantage that shouldn't of happened. I took off the protective coat, gloves and magnifying goggles I was given at the beginning of the task and set it all in their original place. Ignoring the judges reactions as I smiled with a dripping obnoxious edge as I walked off the stage not even caring to look back at their priceless expressions heading to find my gang.

Looking around the campsite it wasn't hard to find at least one or two gang members, I spotted Bonnie first near the funnel cake stand since it was public camp day the only day anyone was allowed to come to see how camp activities worked. The original plan was to "blend in" defusing a fake bomb does NOT fall under blending in which made me more frustrated as I approached her.

Bonnie saw me coming of corse she's the youngest member of our gang being only 15, she's also the goodie two shoes and the sweetest and most innocent. Some would call her a Chatty Cathy but as for me it's not even a good enough term to even begin to describe how much she talks or how much information she even knows. If you really looked at her anyone would say she doesn't even have any special skill. she's uncoordinated, a screw up, and too kind for her own good not to mention she looks like she's 12. I thought that the first day I met her, until I discovered how effective her talking ability is, it could make someone just want to run away screaming mommy make her stop talking! As well as she talks she's equally good at listening and getting information and her learning capacity is incredible and no even detects it.

As I approached her she was silent which was unlike her completely. She glanced sideways and I followed her line of sight the plan up until now was to lie low and blend in pretending to be campers and then round up around noon and hightail it out of this annoyingly normal place. I started a normal conversation with her to make it look less weird;

"You on break?" I asked her an eyebrow raised. Which meant where are the others and how are you holding up?

"Yeah, I got hungry and craved something sweet. did you find mom and dad among the lingering crowds? They said they'd come." She answered completely normal like, she was an excellent liar. Her response told me she hadn't seen any of the other members around but that they know where to meet up at the designated time I had given.

I frowned and sighed and scanned the area, just another thing about us we don't have any parents. All of are orphan teens that weren't wanted anymore and where too old to continue living in an orphanage. We where all selected by a group of freaks and examined as well as were genetically advanced to be adaptable to survival in any scenario. We had animal complexities like extra strength, speed, sensory receptors and immunity to any human disease in existence but those where common traits. We all had our gifts that set us a part differently but made us strong as a whole.

In a way we where each other's family nothing like any normal family but it was the only kind of family id ever known. We all lived together in an underground facility no one even knows exists and if you found it by accident, you'd either become one of us or you'd be killed instantly. Now that you know all of this you can't really run away. Your in this too with us, we all stand untied that's what our den mother had told us when she managed to get us out of there into this world to have an opportunity to live and experience life the way we where meant too. A sacrifice all of us share and stand along with one another because of. This was no accident we may not have chosen this life but as you continue this story along with us you'll see what makes out family so extraordinary. Welcome to our world.
