Morning came sooner than I wanted and I was awakened by Bonnie who decided it would be an excellent time to start a dog pile on me. I groaned hoping I would be allowed five more minutes of sleep and I rolled over on my opposite side. Doing that welcomed me to a face full of bright sunlight because the cabin door was wide open and the smell of fresh fallen pine was calling to me to wake up.
I didn't have much of a choice after that, because then I was welcomed to the disgusting smell of Nicks dirty socks, and I woke up screaming.
"OH MY GOSH!! THAT SMELL THAT DISGUSTING SMELL DAMN YOU NICK!" I yelled throwing the pillow at him and grabbing my delicate damaged nose trying to erase that horrid smell. my reaction welcomed an eruption of laughter from the entire gang and even Jason was laughing along with them. Nick looked at his socks proudly like the stink was something to take pride in. I considered burning those damn socks I should've taken on the offer when I had the opportunity, those poor socks needed to be put out of their misery.
Jason was already mixing well with the rest of the gang like he was always apart of the family. Raven seemed to have a good liking toward him, since she was actually laughing and smiling around him way too much. I looked around everyone was awake and ready to head out. I was the only one who had still been asleep. I stood up and it turned out that, there was a mirror hanging right at the entry way of a hall that I hadn't taken the time to notice.
"Hey Chris, did I ever tell you that you look like a hot mess in the morning?" Nick said sarcastically and I blushed suddenly tempted to punch him. And noticed he was right when I stared at my reflection in the mirror embarrassed.
"Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean, I can't kick your pathetic ass Nick!" I quickly respond on his little insult.
It stung a little but coming from him this was who he had become. I shrugged off the insult still slightly red, Sam chuckled and I instantly turned even more red remembering the events of the night before. I quickly grabbed a brush and pulled it through my wavy straight dark mocha brown hair and then pulled it up on a lopsided ponytail/bun like I normally did to get it out of the way. Bonnie smiled at me and then struck a conversation with Raven again talking about fashion or trends she had noticed for the brief moment while we where in town.
I raised an eyebrow at Sam who was now looking at me for some reason, and then he turned and spoke up.
"Hey Jason, I was thinking over yesterday how it must suck to live in this giant place and how it's unusually creepy to live here alone, so why don't you join our little hectic family and come with us? You clearly know the area and well knowing us we more than likely will end up lost all over again."
"Seriously? I mean are you sure I don't want to be a hassle to the group." He answered a little hesitant. His face had lit up when Sam made the offer which told us he loved and welcomed the idea of joing our gang.
"Hassle? We deal with Nick and Bonnie everyday how much trouble could someone like you be?" Sam said grinning and Nick looked insulted Bonnie on the other hand seemed pretty proud of herself.
Bella hovered near Raven still being extremely shy and not wanting to bother anyone but everything seemed normal for this morning. I smiled wishing time would freeze here and that our lives would always be like this, laughing and together not having to leave every place we walk into because it wasn't safe. Jason seemed happy to be welcomed into a family it was almost as if he really loved being around us.
Since no one knew about our existence the laws of the world didn't really abide to us. We could do and go where ever we wanted as long as we didn't get caught. All we where looking for is a new place we could call home. This cabin was the perfect place to create a home out of, it was hidden and in the middle of the woods and there was no civilization for miles.
"Sam, I have a better deal for you. How about you all stay here and live here along with me?" Jason asked and I looked at Sam I liked the idea, and I felt like Jason had just read my mind. We wouldn't have to run anymore we could stay here hidden just like our old home and go into town whenever we needed supplies or medicine. Everyone seemed to be pleading to want to stay here we where tired of walking and running around this place felt secure and safe. Sam agreed to his proposition and we found ourselves a new home. It was heaven I'll tell you, but we had to clean up some of his gadgets and move them down to the basement.
Eventually since this cabin was rather large each of us had a room to ourself except for Bella and Bonnie who shared their room. It was as if life was finally deciding to be nice to us. It was amazing but it didn't last for long nothing ever did not when it came to our family. Just as everything started settling in perfectly all hell broke loose.
