"How much wood can a wood chuck wood if a wood chuck would chuck wood?" Bonnie asked ecstatically bouncing up and down from the tree branch we where hidden in in the boarders of Yellow Stone National Park, and Nick groaned. She seemed to be the only one with a smile on her face at the moment and Bella stared at the ground feeling like a failure.

"Bonnie, I think that's enough with the questions for today. Let's all just try and get through the night for now." I said not as enthusiastically as she would of.

Sam looked up from the wooden carving he had previously started that was beginning to look like a wolfs face and then had to speak up and ask;

"So what's the brilliant plan now, Chris?" I mentally slapped myself in the face again, I didn't have a plan just yet for now it was to get some sleep and figure out the rest tomorrow.

Sam waited silently for a reply he had the whole gangs attention with one simple question and most of the members respected him more then me. I sometimes hated how he could easily silence everyone even though he himself was the most silent out of all of us. After a while of not getting a response Sam sighed. The others turned to themselves to see what that could've meant. I leaned against the tree trunk without another word and looked to the sky that was already darkening. The stars where clear as day I had studied them back at our facility that was the only place I had known as home. I wasn't that much older seeing I was only 19 and my mind began to wonder to the events that had happened previously in my life underground.

I recalled that back "home" were we all came from we all knew each other there was more than just us we where just a small group that knew and ate together. Sam was my sparing partner he and I fought each other to practice self defense tactics. He was impressively skilled with armed weapons and hand to hand combat, almost lethal to an extent. He was also an annoying know it all and seemed to excel in everything I didn't; Battle strategy, wittiness, strength, stealth, intelligence and even basic survival skills. I smile remembering all the memories I had with him he had taught me most of the things I had come to know now but in a way I never knew why he let me lead rather than being the leader himself. He followed me but did have his annoying and all famous questions.

I was shot back into reality when he spoke again almost falling off the tree branch I was sitting on.

" No plan then, in that case I'll take first watch." He said calmly no one protested his offer and I certainly felt tired after the whole days events.

Bonnie and the others looked at one another and then got comfortable on their branch soon enough I heard soft faint snores come from the branches above and below me. Sam sat there silently with a fast asleep Bonnie leaning against him somewhat he didn't seem bothered by her, he looked up at me unexpectedly and my face turned slightly red as he realized I had been staring. I looked quickly away back at the stars. Those stars sometimes made me wonder what it would be like to fly up there where they where and feel the cool breeze rub against my skin. My thought was interrupted when Sam lightly cleared his throat and I looked back at him.

"What's up?" I asked raising an eyebrow. I didn't know what he thinking his piercing bleached out blue eyes where expressionless as always I could never tell what exactly he had on his mind.

"Do you even have a plan for tomorrow yet?" He asked softly.

"Sort of, I'm still working on it this leader stuff isn't as easy as you think."

I admit I was blowing smoke and I had no idea what I was I doing. The only reason I openly said was due to the fact that the other members where asleep. I stared at the ground a little disappointed with myself. Sam sighed and then looked up at the stars I followed his action and looked up with him.

"I wonder what it's like up there, just to be there and be able to sore around free and not a care in the world." I suddenly thought and didn't realize I had said the thought aloud and when I realized I did instantly fell silent. Sam didn't say anything to my voiced thought and after sometime I fell asleep to the comfort of the stars.

What seemed like 20 minutes later I was reawakened by a loud speaker noise and a kick to my foot. I shot upright with a slurred "what?!?" I looked around and Sam was awake he pointed downward at the crowd that had formed around our tree. A crowd of at least twenty or thirty people where swarmed around the tree.

"Attention teenagers, please come down immediately!" The person with the loud speaker that now looked like a megaphone shouted out.

I was instantly annoyed and tempted to throw a shoe at her she had woken me up from my sleep it was going to cost her greatly for that. Sam looked at me and shrugged. We could ignore them or do as they told, I growled slightly and ripples of thunder began to be heard throughout the sky. Sam looked at me and then the sky and he held up a hand as a signal to calm me down I ignored him completely. My hands ignited with fire not even burning me and before I knew it I threw a fireball that had formed in my hand at the car and it blew up almost instantaneously. The woman who had shouted at us to get out of the tree jumped and ducked the derby flying everywhere. Sam formed an instant force field to block out the wreckage that was now on fire and flying in a directions, and laughed. I blinked not understanding the humor he saw in the situation where I could've almost gotten us all killed by recklessly blowing up a car that was parked right below us. Sometimes I didn't understand Sam that I knew for sure.
