My Hero (A Raura Fanfic)

1. The Beginning

Laura's POV:

So, today was a long day on the set and I'm really tired. I walk to my house, since it's close to where I was filming, and run up to my room after saying hello to my parents and puppy.

I call my best friend Raini and she doesn't answer. Typical.

Every night I go down to the beach and watch the sunset disappear. Then I walk home.

"Mom! I'm going to the beach tonight. I'll be home in a couple of hours," I yell from my room.

"Ok!" I hear her yell back.

I change out of my clothes from today and put on short shorts, my favorite pair of denims, and a tank top which had an infinity sign on it. I grab my hoodie and stick my phone, camera, and a couple pieces of gum in my small purse.

Walking downstairs I almost trip and luckily I caught myself. I put on flip flops and head out the back door.

It takes 10 minutes to walk down to the beach. When I get there people are packing up to leave, but some people are staying to watch the sunset.

I sit down on a bench and pull out my phone from my bag. I call Raini, but it goes to voicemail again. Great I guess I'll just watch the sunset alone.

I watch little kids run around the sand with either their siblings or friends. Man, I remember doing that when I was small. I see 5 teenagers around a fire they made and they are singing, a couple playing the guitar. A bunch of people join around them and I wonder if I should. I decide yes.

I pick up my bag and put my phone in it. I stand up and walk over to them.

I start to examine the 5 teens. There seems to be 4 boys and 1 girl. They are really good at singing.

I like to sing myself. Actually, music is my life. I love playing the piano and singing with my family.

I notice what song they're singing and as a habit I start singing along. More and more people join the song and at the end of the song everybody has joined in.

For some reason there is one boy that doesn't look like the others. One that is love at first sight, at least for me. I stare at him for awhile and then he looks up at me. I turn away and I can tell he is still staring.

By the time the sun has gone down I pick up my stuff and walk away. A lot of other people have already left before it got dark. I start walking away when that cute boy runs up to me.

"Wait!" he yells and I stop and turn around, "Hey so um I'm Ross. I heard you singing and I think you have a Beautiful voice."

"T-thanks," I stutter, "You have a good voice too. I'm Laura, nice to meet you."

"You too. So what do you like to do, other than music?" he asks and points over to the camp fire indicating how I just sang.

"Well, I'm actually an actress," I say confidently.

"Really? Cool. I'm a singer," he says.

"How cool. So do you maybe want to I don't know hang out some time?" I ask nervously hoping he says yes.

"Sure! Where do you want to hang?"

"How about here? Tomorrow," I say.

"That'd be great. Alright see you tomorrow," he says and waves good bye as he runs to, whom I'm gonna guess are his siblings.

I walk home, fall asleep, and dream about him. It's very peaceful.............
