3. The Saving

Sorry. It's been awhile since I have updated. I have been trying to update my other books. Don't delete this from your library. I just saw that I had 58+ reads and I have only done two chapters. I think that's amazing. Now enough of me talking to you! lets get to the cliffhanger.

Laura's POV:

The van suddenly stops and the back doors pop open. The man grabs me and drags me inside a log cabin somewhere in the woods. Or in the middle of nowhere.

I pretend to still be asleep so that I don't get ragged again. He sets me on the couch, unties my wrists and ankles, and pokes my side to "wake" me up.

"OWWWWWW!!!" I scream in pain.

"Shut up you idiot," he says in a familiar voice.

"Who are you and why did you take me," I hiss at him.

"You don't recognize me?" he says.

"Look. My vision is blurry, I cant breathe, my rib is killing me, and I've been kidnapped. You think I would remember someone right now, right this second?!" I scream at him which makes my rib hurt even more. I cringe at the pain.

"Well miss attitude, let me give you a hint. I....Love....You," he says and I start to remember. All the memories. It was him. The one. I dated him freshman year of high school. I broke up with him because I was dared to. He told me that someday he would get his revenge. I guess that day was today. His name is Chase. He still loves me, but I've moved on.

"Chase..." I whisper.

"So you do remember." he says with a smirk on his face. He takes his shirt off and puts it on my wound. Man! Did that boy have abs. He must've had a 6 or 12 pack, I don't know the difference. He has a scar from his chest to his stomach and a rose tattoo on his right arm. He starts applying pressure on my wound, wakes me up from my day dream, and leans in. Our noses touch and he asks, "Like what you see?" He starts leaning in more and soon enough we are kissing. Moving perfectly in sync. His lips are so soft and I remember how soft they are now. We used to be the perfect couple and kiss all the time. Now he has changed a lot and for the greater good. He has bleached his hair at the ends just like mine. His hair was spiky and his ears were pierced. He had the hood of a hoodie on before, but now it's off. He looks amazing.

The kiss goes on for a while then remember the musician. I put my hands on Chase's chest. Ahhhh! I pull away from the kiss and push Chase off of me.

"What are you doing?" he asks calmly.

"Listen Chase. You can't just kidnap me and assume that nothing else is going on in my life. I have a boyfriend who cares about me so much. Why do you think I was dressed up? And why would you shoot me? What did I ever do to you?! Look you might want me, but you can't. Now take me to the hospital right now and leave me alone," I say back to him confidently.

"I thought that you would be my girlfriend again, but you have a boyfriend. He is very lucky to have you. I'm sorry Laura. I will help you now," he says and gets off me. He picks me up bridal style. We head to the van. Oh no! I don't have to worry though. Instead of putting me in the back he puts me in the front seat. He puts his shirt back on and grabs his hoodie. He has one hand on the steering wheel and one hand holding my wound.

"Just keep living Laura. We're almost there. You can fight. I'm so sorry. It is all my fault. You will get through this. I promise," he says and I realize he means it. He is owning up to what he did.

"Thank you," I whisper.

In two minutes we are at the ER. I call Ross and tell him to meet me there in 30 minutes. Chase carries me inside and puts me in a wheelchair. He wheels me to the front desk. We get a room and I am in surgery. They fix me up while I am asleep and by the time I am out of surgery Ross is waiting for me. He runs up to my bed and hugs me. He kisses me on the forehead.

"Laura! I was so worried I had lost you forever. When I heard the gun shot I ran as fast as I could. I never should've left you. I could've been there to save you, but I was to late. I'm so sorry this happened sweetie. I love you!" he says and I kiss him back.

I have been saved by my guardian angel Ross.
