4. She's Safe In My Arms

Sorry it's been awhile since I have updated. I will start updating more often because I don't have homework for the rest of the school year.

Ross' POV:

I look at my beautiful girlfriend while she is in my arms. I am holding her in the hospital bed while she sleeps. I love Laura. I will start being overprotective of her. Even though we have been dating for only two weeks I feel that she is my wife.

Laura wakes up while I stroke her hair. Man, she is so beautiful.

"Laura! You're awake!" I say and hold her closer in my arms.

"Hey handsome," she says and kisses me. Sparks fly through my body and butterflies gather in my stomach. I can finally say that I know what love is.

"Laura," I say breaking the kiss, "I just want you to know that you make me feel like no other girl has. You are also so beautiful and I am honored to be your boyfriend. I love you!" I say and passionately kiss her back. The sparks and butterflies come back. She runs her fingers through my hair. It feels so good.

We break the kiss to breathe. The nurse comes rushing in through the door.

"Sir we need to let Laura rest. Soon you both can go home, but she can't leave if she doesn't rest. And Laura, we need you to sleep so that we can do your stitches. Here is your pain medicine and here is your water," the nurse says. I kiss Laura on the cheek, wish her luck, and leave the room.

I walk down to the lobby and wait. No matter how long it takes, no matter if they ask me to leave, I am staying until Laura can come home...with me.

It's been five hours. It's 2:00 a.m. and the ER isn't busy at all. I fell asleep at 10:00 p.m. I just woke up.

Laura walks into the lobby. I smile at her beautiful face. I stand up and embrace her, but sure enough that I don't hurt her wound. They put stitches in. The nurse tells me that Laura did great during surgery and tells me that I can take her home.

We walk outside together and I watch our surroundings.

"It's okay Ross," she giggles at me.

"I know. I know. I just can't stand to lose you again," I say and kiss her on the top of her head.

"Ross? Do you love me? We've only been dating two weeks," she says and looks at her feet.

I stand in front of her, lift her chin up, and kiss her on the lips. Sparks and butterflies fly through me.

Laura's POV:

Ross lifts my head and kisses me. Sparks fly through me. He breaks the kiss and asks, "Does that answer your question?" I nod and lean in again, but he picks me up bridal style, carefully, and puts me in the passengers seat.

"Lets get you home. We need to rest," he says and we take off.

We arrive at Ross' house and we walk in. Everyone surrounds me.

"Laura! Thank God you're okay!" Rydel screams and hugs me.

"We're glad your back!" Mark and Stormie say simultaneously.

"Thank you everyone. Now, if you don't mind, Ross and I need to get some sleep," I say and tell everyone goodnight. Same as Ross. I take Ross' hand and we go to his room.

Ross takes off his shirt and climbs in bed motioning me to lay next to him. I take off my shirt, leaving on my bra, and climb into bed as well.

Ross' POV:

Laura takes off her shirt, but leaves her bra on. She climbs into bed next to me. I wrap my arms around her and pull her close to me. We fall asleep right there. I feel better now because she's safe in my arms.
