part 7 - void

Sans POV
We arrived at a big house lit with colourful Christmas lights. I sucked in a breath. It looked beautiful. Part of my mind was telling me to go to the back of the house but I ignored it and walked inside. I looked around the house laughing at the hight of the sink and the notes on top of what I presumed to be my sock. There were two rooms upstairs and I looked in the first one when papyrus spoke. "THIS IS MY ROOM, YOUR ROOM IS DOWN ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE BUT YOU NEVER LET ME GO IN." I wonder why? I thought strangely before walking into my room. It was small and cosy with not much in it other than a desk, a lamp, a bed and a crosstrainer that looked out of place. The room had a secure feeling to it that made me feel comfortable and safe. I looked at my messy bed and cleaned it up, putting the blanket on properly as well as the pillows. Then I picked up the socks and threw them into the self sustaining tornado that made me laugh. I looked around feeling bored and looked though my draws beside me. They were full of socks except for one that had a key in it. I picked it up curiously. What does it unlock? Feeling adventurous I checked every lock inside the house but each one was the wrong size so I looked outside. I walked around the back of the house and saw a door that was bearly visible.

The key opened the door and I mentally high fived myself. Inside was a small lab with messy papers everywhere and a half broken machine in the corner. I looked over it carefully and wondered what it was for. There were blueprints on the table written in the strange language. I read over them and thought about how I would fix the machine. It was designed to be able to bring someone from the void, was I building this? Was there someone in the void? There was a photo of a man with me and papyrus as kids and the words 'don't forget' written on the bottom. I laughed at how ironic those words were since I lost my memory. There were parts that I didn't have that I would need to finish the machine and I walked to alphys's lab and looked for her. She was watching anime and was startled by my appearance. "Sans w-what are you d-doing here?" I pulled out the blueprints for the machine and handed them to her. "I found these in a lab behind my house. The machine has actually been half built and it made me wonder if anyone was in the void so I wanted to ask if I could get some materials to finish it." She looked over the notes and her jaw dropped. "These are a-amazing. Who d-designed it." I shrugged half heartedly. "Maybe I did. It seems really familiar and the key to the lab was in my room. Did I ever talk to you about this before, ya'know..." "Oh um n-no. You n-n-never really talked m-much about this s-sort of thing. I k-know you had an i-intrest in science but I h-had no idea you were w-working on something like t-this. You kept a lot of secrets." I nodded and tried to remember what happened to me. I remember falling and then I heard a loud crack before everything went blank. Alphys pulled me out of my thoughts. "This is really i-interesting. M-maybe we could work t-together. You were probably be b-building it for a reason and I'm v-very fascinated by t-this sort of thing. I j-just never had the k-k-knowlege to do it. But with these n-notes and blueprints we c-could actually finish it." I thanked her gratefully. "I would love to work with you. I'll bring the machine over tommorow. See you then and thanks for the help." She waved a small wave. "No p-problem, see you tommorow." Then I walked the long journey back home. I had just made it to waterfall before I sat down to catch my breath. All this walking is tiring. I thought about my house and wished I was there. A strange feeling bubbled within me and my eye flashed cyan before I suddenly appeared in my living room. I was confused and so disorientated that I stumbled over. Papyrus who had been sitting on the couch jumped when I popped in and looked dumbfounded. "I DID NOT KNOW YOU COULD DO THAT." "Me either." I replied still feeling dizzy and light headed. He helped me stand up and mumbled "You never tell me anything." Before walking into his bedroom leaving me feeling strangly guilty.
