Papyrus's POV

He fell asleep in my arms and I grabbed my phone with shaking arms, dialing alphys with urgency. She answered after what felt like forever and I shouted onto the phone. "ALPHYS!! I NEED YOUR HELP, SANS IS HURT REAL BAD." I heared alphys gasp. "O-ok, bring h-h-him to my l-lab then." "OK I'LL BE THERE IN A MINUET." I stood up with sans in my arms and ran as fast as I could to the top of the lab. Alphys was there and quickly got to work on sans while I waited for what seamed like years. Finally she came out and I rushed to her. "IS HE OK?" she looked up at me with a sad expression. "I-im so s-s-sorry papyrus, I t-tried to help him b-but nothing c-can be done f-for a cracked s-soul. Sans h-has 3 months t-t-to live, that's the b-best I could d-do. He's awake i-if you want to s-see him." Without replying I ran to the room he was in and saw him sitting up in bed. I hugged him and he patted my back. "Shhh it's ok, I've still got a while so let's just forget about this and enjoy it ok?" I nodded and wiped my tears. He took my hand. "Now cmon, let's help frisk brake the barrier."

~ time skip to after frisk broke the barrier ~

Sans POV
I gazed at the gorgeous sunset that I had seen so many times, frisk decided to stay with all of us and we began a new life on the surface. Frisk could no longer reset so things were ok, sometimes I'd almost forget that I was going to die. I didn't let the others know but I really didn't want to die, I've died before in genocide but this time I would stay dead. It was sorta scary. Before long the 3 months were at an end and I sat on the hill with papyrus gazing at the bright stars. I felt my soul slowly shattering inside of me and turned to papyrus who was oblivious of the situation. I guess he's forgotten that my time was up already. I turned to face him. "Goodbye paps." He looked confused for a moment till he released what I ment. "NO, YOU DON'T MEAN..." I nodded sadly and hugged him tightly. "I'll miss you." Tears rolled down both of our faces until frisk came running up the hill. "Sans!! I can help." They fused their soul into mine before I could stop them and I looked down. My soul was half human half monster and so was theirs. I gasped and studied it. "Kid... What did you do?" They smiled. "Now we can both live and you won't die." I rufled there hair. "Thanks kiddo." They smiled brightly and we all cuddled together on the grassy hill watching the twinkling stars.
