brothers - amnesia

part 10

I rushed to alphys's lab, not bothering to take to scenic route and teleporting straight there. "Hey Al are you ready to test out the machine?" She looked at me strangely. "Did y-you just c-call me Al?" "Yeah, sorry dunno why. It just sorta came out. Did it bother you." "No it's j-just you haven't c-called me that in y-years. You wouldn't r-remember that though." I shrugged having no idea what she was taking about and put my attention back to the machine. "Ready?" She closed the door and smiled. "Ready." I hit the button and smock filled the room. As soon as it cleared a man wearing black with holes in his hands stepped out. Alphys squealed from beside me. It worked, it actually worked. He looked familiar but before I could ask who he was he rushed forward and hugged me. It felt awkward for me, this is the second time someone I don't remember has hugged me and it's very uncomfortable. "I'm so glad your ok." He pulled me closer and I pushed him away. "Who are you?" This person obviously knew me but I'd lost all my memories. Alphys saw the look of confusion on his face and added. "He had an accident a-and lost his m-memories. So if he k-knew you before he won't be a-able to remember you." "What's your name?" I asked. He straightened himself before saying. "I am W.D gaster the royal scientist and your father." Alphys gasped at that. "You were the r-royal scientist. The notes laying a-around belonged to you. That's amazing." He simply nodded and I had another flashback.

~flashback~
I was in the lab wandering about. To short to see over the desk with my small legs. Gaster came in and I ran around his legs. "Daddy, daddy pick me up." He bent down and swooped me into the air whilst I giggled with joy. After I'd calmed down I rested my head on his shoulder. "I love you daddy." I said before I fell asleep.
~flashback end. ~

I ran to my dad and hugged him. "I remember you." I whispered to him. He smiled brightly and we soon broke a part. "Where's your brother sans. I haven't seen him since he was a baby bones." I felt slightly awkward at the mention of my brother but acted fine around alphys. I pulled my dad out of the lab. "Dad, I don't know how to feel about papyrus. He's my brother but I don't know him." Gaster thought for a moment. "You know I could make you remember with my magic. It would probably hurt and you might go unconscious for a bit but other than that you'll be fine." I wanted my memories but... My old life sounded so depressing, I had no motivation and from the bits I remember I wasn't very happy. "No, I think I'll just create a new life, I was so lazy before but I'm doing lots of things now. I think I prefer it this way." "I understand but if you ever do want to remember let me know." "Ok I will, I promise." Then we went to see papyrus.

(Is anyone still reading this? Oh well, get ready for some plot twists.)
