*Side Story* My Third Year in Grade School

Soarin's P.O.V

Today is the first day of school. I'm excited to meet my friends again.

I wonder if we'll be in the same class again?

I see the school gates nearer as I walk. I looked at my wristwatch and my eyes widened.

It's almost time! There's only two minutes left! I have to run for it!

I ran with all my might and got in the school before the bell rang.

Ding Dong Dang~

"Phew, now I only have to attend the-"

Something heavy suddenly fell on me and I collapsed on the ground.

"Owwww..." I rubbed my back.

"Ah, sorry about that." Someone said.

I couldn't see the person face since the sunlight was too bright.

"Ah crap, the entrance ceremony!" The person said before running away.

All I see was the person back. I'm assuming he's a dude since he has a male haircut. But other than that, he had light blue hair.

What a jerk, he didn't even help me up..

I stood up on my own and ran to the gym.

The entrance ceremony ended well and after that all students went into their assigned classrooms. I was assigned in Class 3-1 or also know as III grade - Pegasi. Too bad Thunderlane and Ghost Reaper weren't in the same class as me. All of the students I saw were familiar except one. There was this light blue haired boy siting at the corner of the room. He was just doing nothing but stare at the wall.

He seems lonely...

I approached the kid.

"Hey, are you new here?" I asked him.

"Yes.. I'm from Kumosawa."

"My name's Soarin. What's your name?" I extended my hand for a handshake.

"I'm Rainbow Dash." He answered as he took my hand and shook it.

(A/N: Yes, I am well aware that Rainbow Dash is a female. However this is Soarin's point of view and he thinks that Rainbow is a male.)

My eyes wandered off to his luggage. He had a bag that was halfly open. Inside it was a soccer ball.

"You play soccer too?"

He got shocked for a second and then nodded his head vigorously.

"Cool! Wanna join our game after school?" I asked excitingly.

"Sure!" He replied with a smile.

It was already after school. My friend and I were waiting for Dash to finish his school tour so that we could play. We were already gathered at the soccer field. I saw Dash approaching.

"Rainbow Dash! Over here, hurry!" I shouted as I jumped in excitement.

"Sorry, I'm late. The tour was so long." He apologized as soon as he arrived.
