Forever is a Lie

CHAPTER 20

Carson's POV
Charlie and I have been going out for almost two months. It was kind of bumpy at the start, I guess that's what happens when you date a player but we are doing a lot better and I am really happy with him. You should've seen my brothers reactions when I told them, they both celebrated and almost killed him at the same time in true brother fashion. Holly was weird about Charlie and I dating because she felt like we'd end up shutting her out but I told her no matter what I'd never chose him over her.

I'm staring into my closet trying to find something to wear, it's the first day back after a long weekend  and I didn't really get the chance to hang out with Charlie because he was working so I need to look hot but comfortable.
I walk more into my closet looking through it before taking out a pair of acid white washed shorts and a black crop top that stops a little before my stomach and one of my brothers flannels. I brush my hair out putting my hair in a half up high ponytail. I put on some eyeliner and mascara and chapstick  with dark pink lipgloss over, I smile slight walking over to my mirror glancing into it to make sure it looks good. I slip on a pair of white converse grabbing my backpack running downstairs, I see Holly talking to my brothers as she sees me she smiles hugging me. I grab an apple from the counter waving goodbye to my brothers before we run out.
"So have you seen Charlie at all ?"

Holly asks getting in her car, I get in with her shaking my head taking a bite of my apple

"No he's been working, but we're going to get food after school today"

She nods turning the radio up as a random song comes on and we start driving. I look out the window watching the scenery as we pass, we stop at a red light and I look at the car besides I see Logan and some random girl . He's got his arm around her and she's laying her head on his shoulder, he kisses her head..  my stomach turns and I suddenly lose the appetite for my apple. I sigh softly looking down at my apple as I feel the car starting to move again.
What is this feeling?

I can't be, I'm happy with Charlie

I shake my head as we pull up to the school and she parks after yelling at our student body for walking to slow and or not knowing how to part. I get out and instantly there is arms around my waist hugging and picking me up I squeak giggling feeling Charlie kissing my neck gently before setting me down

"Hey sweetheart and Holly "

Charlie smiles and she rolls her eyes groaning

"Couples"

She teases walking away as Charlie laughs laying his head on my shoulder kissing my cheek smiling.

"So how was your weekend? I'm sad I couldn't see you at all"

He pouts but I kiss him softly

"I just did a bunch of homework nothing interesting "

He nods kissing me back before the bell rings and we pull apart looking around seeing everybody walking to their class

"We should get to class"

I say and he groans nodding kissing me again grabbing my hand gently as we walk into the school together

Lunch, my favorite part of the day. I'm walking to the lunch room texting Holly, I feel someone grab my hand pulling me to the side and I laugh softly .
"Charlie! Holly's w- Logan?"
I ask looking up seeing him, the warmth of his hand filling mine but I take my hand back putting it in my pocket.

"What do you want ? I was just getting ready to meet my boyfriend "

His eyes widen slightly looking at me scrunching his nose as he thinks

"Wait you and Charlie are actually going out? I thought that was a rumor "

I shake my head

"We've been going out for two months so if you don't need anything else can I go eat lunch with my boyfriend ?"

He looks at me in the eyes looking between both and I try harder then I should to not melt under his gaze

"Why him? "

I look at him and I shake my head

"Because he didn't leave me when I needed him the most "

And with that I walk away leaving him looking stunned and all I want to do is go back and hug him but I cant.. not anymore.
