It was the time of the company meeting which Sera had been waiting for since ages. Not ages actually, but two weeks. Eric and Jackie were still dating. Sera was getting used to the idea finally. At least there was no wedding on the cards yet.

She had an idea for the new promotion strategy. Sera had discussed the idea with Jackie last night, and Jackie loved it. Sera was ready with everything when she came into the conference hall. There was no one in the room except for Jonathan Carter, the Editor in Chief.

"Good morning, John," Sera greeted him. Jonathan grunted and looked away.

Sera had no idea what Jonathan's problem was, he was always rude to her. He always opposed Sera's ideas, even though when he had no solid idea of his own. She was glad Jonathan was leaving. He had got a position in a business magazine, and Jonathan was happy to announce his resignation.

Soon the conference hall started filling up. Martina sat next to Sera.

"Good morning, Sera," She greeted with a smile.

"Morning, Martina," Sera greeted back when she heard Jonathan scoff.

"What happened, John? Woke up on the wrong side of the bed?" Martina joked, but Jonathan did not smile.

"Saw the wrong face actually," Jonathan replied, looking at Sera.

"What is your issue, Jonathan? What do you want?" Sera asked quietly. She didn't want any scene.

"Except for you to be out of here, nothing. But that doesn't matter. I'll be gone in a week, and would never have to see this face of yours," Jonathan snapped at her. Sera's mouth fell open.

She was about to reply when Eric entered, and everyone went quiet.

"Good morning everyone," Eric greeted as everyone exchanged greetings. "Let's start with the meeting, shall we?" He said and Jonathan nodded.

Jonathan presented a few ideas for the next issue, they were good, but not original. Then Martina started presenting her views. Sera kept quiet, she would wait for her turn.

"May I say something, Mr. Spencer?" It was Jackie who said that.

"Yes, of course, Jaclyn," Eric grinned at her. Jackie smiled back.

"I have some ideas for the issue this summer," She started, Sera smiled. Jackie was finally doing her thing, speaking her ideas. "We should dedicate this summer issues to all the newly wedded couples. How they could set up their homes, ways to set a livelihood, a new place from scratch. Like if a couple is to be wed and they are searching for a place, even a new couple wanting to move in together. To give them an under a budget, yet a warm cozy guide to a house...a home," Jackie finished.

Eric looked impressed. Sera was too, Jackie's idea was good, Beau Monde had never done that.

"That's a good idea. What do you think Jonathan?" Eric asked.

"I think it's a pretty good thought. I mean we do deal with elites, but a budget thing could definitely increase the sales," Jonathan agreed. Sera felt a pang of hurt. Jonathan never agreed with her ideas that fast.
