Chapter Two

Rose's POV:

My alarm woke me up around eight a.m. For a summer morning, that was early. Luckily, my alarm woke Lacey up too. I never like waking her up because she's really cranky in the morning. I got up, took a shower, brushed my teeth, and got dressed. I simply wore sweats and a t-shirt since I was still tired. I went back into my room to find Lacey staring at her phone, with an annoyed look on her face. "Good morning, sunshine," I said.

"Shut up. Can we not leave until later? I'm tired." she replied.

"What happened to that cheerful, excited Lacey I was talking to yesterday? Get up. We'll stop to eat on the way." Lacey wasn't a morning person at all.

All I wanted to do was to get there already, even though we aren't even attending magcon until Sunday.

Lacey got ready faster than I thought. She greeted me downstairs by the front door with an annoyed look on her face.

The next challenge was to get all of our over-packed bags to fit into my little blue jeep. We packed as if we were visiting a different country for three months, when we were really only going away for three days. It took Lacey, my mother, and I to shove everything in it. I hugged my mom, then picked up Eric and kissed him on the cheek. After that, Lacey and I had officially started our weekend.

We decide to stop at IHOP, even though I wasn't a huge fan of it. While being escorted to our table, I spot a familiar face across the room. Shawn Mendes is sitting in the same room as I was. I was so amazed at how adorable he was, and I couldn't stop staring at him. I don't recognize who he was sitting with, so I assume it's family. I wanted to say something, but I realized I look like crap. As hard as it is, I guess I'll save it for magcon.

Lacey and I finish eating. As we walk out, Lacey waves to Shawn and quickly says hello. "His smile is to die for, and his voice even sounds beautiful when he says hello." Lacey says with a grin on her face.

We left the restaurant, and headed for the hotel.
