Rose's POV

My alarm clock rang around seven in the morning, luckily only waking me up and not Lacey. I really didn't want to deal with her this early. I rolled off my bed onto the floor and laid there for a minute. I almost fell asleep, but quickly got up when I remembered why I was up so early. I could not wait to be sitting across from Jack, having more one-on-one time with him.

I went into the bathroom, took a shower, brushed my teeth, then let my hair dry naturally. I didn't want to look too over-done since it was only breakfast, but I still wanted to impress him. I put on light makeup, enough for it to look natural and to cover up my tiredness. I went into the closet and stared at everything for a moment. I couldn't find anything nice, so I moved to Lacey's side of the closet. She was a bit slimmer than me, but most of her clothes fit. I found a nice floral sun dress. It was casual enough to wear to breakfast.

By the time I was ready completely, it was about time to go. After waiting a few minutes, I heard a knock at my door. I opened the door to a huge smile, and eyes looking from my head to my feet.

"Wow. Green eyes, you've done it again. You look amazing," said Jack with an incredibly cute grin on his face.

"Thanks. You look quite nice yourself, but I still have a name you know." I replied followed by a wink. He did look nice. He was wearing a baby blue t-shirt and white shorts. It wasn't something I'd imagine him wearing, but it was cute.

We walked downstairs and out to his car. Along the way he opened and held all the doors like a gentleman would. This was somewhat surprising because that wasn't what was being said online. He must have done his research, because he brought me to one of the best restaurants in my town. It was called 'Under the Waves' and was a cute beach themed place. It was mainly occupied by teenagers and had affordable prices, but also had some of the best food in town.

The hostess led us to a small table. He pulled out my chair and everything, it was nice being treated this way. We both ordered pancakes, except I got strawberries on mine. While waiting for our food, we talked about a lot of things. Things such as favorite food, colors, and movies. We learned what eachothers hobbies were, and about past vacations. Sime things were talked about, but not once did he mention his fame. There was a white rose in the center of the table. Jack looked at it, then said "I like this rose. Its pretty, and simple. Also smells nice. I wish I could take this rose home with me and keep it for a while."

"I like it too, but it's just a rose. Haven't you seen them before?" I replied.

"Oh, the flower? I wasn't talking about that kind of rose, I was talking about you." He smiled.

He was clever, yet dorky in some way. I loved that.

The waitress brought our food, which was delicious. Then we talked some more, and got the check. I tried to pay my half, but he refused no matter how hard I tried. We walked outside around ten, and the weather was perfect once again. We got in the car. I was expecting to go back to the hotel, but he drove right passed it. He grabbed my hand, and asked if he could keep me for a little longer. Of course I didn't mind.

We pulled up to a place I've never seen before. He got up and opened my door. We walk through a path to find a small lake.

"I don't know what you're thinking but you're not throwing me in this like you did at the pool." I stepped back. He chuckled.

"Don't worry, that's not my plan. I just thought you like it here. It's peaceful and romantic, a friend told me I should come here while I'm in town."

He sat down on a log and gestured for me to sit next to him. He put his hand around my waist, and I laid my head on his shoulder.

"I like this." He said.

"I like you, I mean, I like this too." I blushed even though what I said accidentally wasn't a huge deal.

"Oh, so you don't like me?"

"Oh please."

We both laughed and talked a lot more. We liked to talk. Most of the time, I wasn't paying attention to what I was saying, I was just listening to his voice. It was comforting. The time came and he said we had to head back. I didn't want to leave.

We got back to the hotel around eleven thirty. He walked me up to my room. We stood outside the door to my room.

"I really enjoyed the morning. Honestly, this is crazy." He said. I agreed.

There we stood, once again, in silence. We hugged for a moment, and without any hesitation, he went for it. He kissed me. Finally, without interruption. It was perfect. He was perfect, the kiss was perfect, and what we had was perfect. The best thing about it, was that it was real.

He looked at me, smiled, and asked "I'll stop by here tonight around ten? Is that okay? We'll just hangout."

"I guess that's fine, but what about Lacey? I'm kind of on this trip for her, I wasn't expecting all this."

"I can bring over a friend, we could have sort of a double date night? Come on, it'd be fun."

"She should be okay with that. I'll see you at ten."

*Hey! How's the story? I'll be adding the next chapter withing the next two days. Stay tuned, there's a bit of trouble.*
