"What a nice day," You sigh happily, leaning back.

You wiggle your toes, the smooth, cool water lapping at your ankles. You're sitting at the edge of a waterfall on an uninhabited moon.

Your ship had needed some repairs so you landed on a moon you found close by to touch things up. The moon was surprisingly beautiful though, not at all barren like you'd thought it would be. It's surface is covered in lush jungle and a gorgeous river winds through it, eventually dropping off a cliff into a pristine lagoon. A volcano that appears dormant sits in the center of the surface.

You slip off the bank on which you lay and rub the soothing water over your bare arms. You dip your head back, swishing it in the water to clean off all the oil and mechanical grime from your hair. The dirt from your body floats down the river until all that's left is your natural (S/C) skin.

You dunk under the water and swim eagerly, fighting against the gentle current that pushes against you.

Long after the sun reaches its peak in the sky, you drag yourself out of the river. You shrug on your clothes, clean from when you washed them in the river. They're warm from the sun and you welcome the feeling as you ease them on. You tie your hair back into a messy ponytail and slip your feet into your boots.

You're just starting the trek back through the tropical foliage when it happens. The ground beneath you trembles and below the surface a low rumble sounds.

"Uh oh," You take a shaky step back. A small crack appears at your feet and you gulp. The rumbling increases as the crack widens. You see smoke creeping over the trees.

"Shit! The volcano!" You curse and start to run.

Rock fades away, leaving empty black space in its place.

"Shit, shit, shit."

Your breath comes out in pants. You crest a hill and there on the other side is your ship. The air is thick with ash and fire rains down from the sky.

"Shit, shit, shit." You're almost there. Almost there. Almost-

*KABOOM*

A giant ball of flaming rock crashes in front of you. You rush to skid to a stop, but only attempt in tripping and falling over. Your body slides across the rocky terrain, your overalls ripping. As you pick yourself up, your arm peels off the rock, bloody and scraped.

You get to your feet shakily, body aching, the terrain below you moving so much that it's almost impossible to stand. The sight before you when you finally get upright almost knocks you over again. Your ship-your beautiful ship-is in ruins, parts of it still flying down from the sky.

"OH ARE YOU FRIGGEN KIDDING ME?!" You throw your arms up in the air. You grasp at your hair, which is coming out of its updo, with two hands. More rock comes slamming into the ground and the impact makes you fall to your knees.

A piece of debris hits you in the head and you feel blood trickle down it. You start to feel dizzy. You attempt to take a deep breath and succeed only in choking in a mouthful of ash.

Your vision goes hazy as you double over, hacking. You hear something over the roar of the volcano, but you're so out of it you barely notice. Something grabs you. A hand grasps your wrist. You feel yourself being slung over someone's shoulder before they hurry away.

Your head bumps against the person's back, and you try to look up at your rescuer, but a rock lands in front of them, and as they stumble backward, you collapse against them, out cold.

********************
The first thing you're aware of is a pair of lips on your's. The second is you feel yourself come up gasping for breath, before your eyes fly open. Your fist flies out and you clock someone right in the jaw. They fly backward and yelp.

You sit up hurriedly. The boy sprawled at your feet looks up at you. He has chocolate brown eyes, tan skin, and a dazzling smile. "What was that for?!" He rubs his chin, wincing.

"Don't kiss me ever again." You cross your arms.

"Trust me, I don't plan on it." He scowls. "And that was hardly a kiss. I just saved your life!"

It's only then you become aware of your surroundings. You're in a machine of some kind. A robot, you realize. Your blood drips on the clean floors, and you clutch your right arm with your hand.

The boy stands, his lanky arms at his sides.

"What is this place?" You try to stand as well, but your legs give out underneath you as pain laces up you. The boy lunges forward and catches you, his arms wrapping around your waist. You wince as your injuries throb.

"I know I'm charming, but you don't have to literally fall for me." He flashes a grin.

You make a disgusted face and shove him away, leaving on the wall for support. Looking down you nearly faint at the sight of your left leg. Nearly all the skin is gone and blood oozes everywhere. It hurts like a bitch.

"What is this place?" You repeat, breathing heavily, looking away from your leg.

"This is my lion, Blue." He looks at you smugly.

You blink. "Your lion."

"That's what I said." He sticks his thumbs in his belt loops.

You throw your head back. "Great. I've been rescued by a guy even crazier than he is stupid."

"Hey!" The boy protests. "That's a little insulting."

"Nooooo." You look at him. "That was supposed to be insulting?"

It's his turn to cross his arms. "Hey, listen. I don't need your sarcasm."

"And I don't need you." You scan the walls, panting from the effort of standing. "How do I get out of here?"

"You don't."

"What?"

He clears his throat. "I said, you don't. Blue stopped working after we got caught in the aftermath of the explosion."

"Explosion?"

"Geez, you really were out of it. The moon exploded." He whistles cheerfully. You recognize it as 'Zipidee-Doo-Da.'

"So, what-now we're stranded here?!" You can feel the irritation building up in you slowly.

"For now."

"For now."

"You really like copying me, don't you?" The boy looks annoyed.

"I don't think you understand the seriousness of this situation." You pinch the bridge of your nose. "So let me put it as simply as I can. We, as in me and your dumbass, are stuck in a broken down, friggen weird, robotic lion, floating in space!"

"Yeah. I get it." He's starting to look as pissed as you feel. "Don't worry. Someone will be coming for us soon. Well, me. They'll be coming for me."

"And who is 'me' exactly?" You growl. "Who the frick are you?!"

"Who am I? Why, I am Lance McClain."
