Chapter 5

A/N from here on out I'm going to call Tanner D, Tanner unless the other Tanner is in the scene.

The next morning I woke up about 5:30 to take a shower and get ready before meeting Tanner at 7. I decided to throw on a cute outfit to spend the day with him. I threw on a pair of slim fit jean shorts, a brown seqine tank top, and my cowgirl boots. I also decided to throw on a cross necklace and some braclets. When I was dressed I put on some light makeup and left my hair down to air dry because it is really wavy and thick after it drys. I put my wallet in my back pocket and grabbed my phone before walking out the door.

"Hey you guys is he here yet?" I ask Lexi and Alex when I walked out of my room.

"I haven't seen him yet, but we can wait out side with you." Lexi said.

"Sure, and what did you guys do after I left last night?" I said walking down the stairs with the girls following.

"We'll after you yelled at Mark and walked away we started questioning Mark and he wouldn't tell us what happened. What did happen?" Alex asked.

"You don't have to, if you don't want to, though" Lexi added quickly after seeing my face.

"No it's ok I'll tell you." I tell them sitting down on one of the benches, "So when we were laying on the blankets I felt Mark reach for my hand, and then I yelled quitly at him trying not to disturb you guys. I asked him what he was doing and Mark said that you had Ray, Lexi, and that you had Nate, Alex. So he thought since you guys were together he and I could be together. So I told him I had a boyfriend but he was saying that it wouldn't work between us, and that is when I started yelling at him."

"Wow, that jerk!" Lexi and Alex said together.

"Who's a jerk?" Said Ray, Nate, and Mark walking up together.

"Nobody." I said quickly standing up seeing that Tanner had pulled up.

"How was your first week at college?" Tanner said giving me a big hug and kissing me I quick kiss.

"It was really fun. I met some new friends. This I Lexi, Alex, Ray, Nate, and Mark." I tell him pointing at each one and when I got to Mark I tried acting normal but I couldn't help making a face. I tried covering it up quickly but Tanner saw and have me a quizzical face but I shook my head and he dropped it.

"Nice to meet you guys.  I'm glad Danielle made some friends, she isn't really the out-going type." He said laughing when I stuck my tounge out.

"Well we better get going. See you guys later tonight." I said walking to Tanner's pickup.

When we got in I waved to everyone as Tanner pulled out and we drive for a while before Tanner started asking me questions about my week.

"So where your first few classes easy?" He asked.

"They were harder than I thought they were going to be but they were fun, and that is where I meet my friends." I replied.

"Speaking of your friends, why did you make that gave when you said Mark's name?" He asked looking over at me.

"What face?" I said tensing up and started playing with my hair.

"Danielle, your playing with your hair you are hiding something. What is it? It can't be that bad." Tanner said grabbing my hand and holding it.

"I'm not hiding anything."

"Danielle." He said giving a stern look.

"Fine." I sighed getting ready to tell him about Mark. "So last night we went to the golf course to hang out and Mark tried holding my hand and I told him that I had a boyfriend, which he already knew about, then he said it wasn't going to work between me and you. Then I yelled at him for saying that and I walked back to my dorm."
