A/N- trigger warning: panic attack and severe anxiety. I'll put *** before this scene so that you won't miss anything if you need to skip over it. I love you all so much!

Dear Anna,
I know you're busy, but I can't wait to hear from you! Can you believe that there are only two weeks left until you come back home? Also, that your contract has finally ended... here's hoping that you survive the rounds! I stand by my statement that you should stay away from Jason, but I can tell that you've found love in another place... it's okay, I love you no matter what.
Lots of Hugs and Kisses,
From Your Most Favorite Sister,
Roza

We never did get to talk, I think sadly to myself as I stare curiously into Anna's eyes. Since then, we've moved locations to a lightly forested resort, seemingly in the middle of nowhere.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" She smiles, slipping in to her dress.

"Can we talk about what you were going to say last week?"

Her smile fades. "Oh. Right. Sorry, it's just... Zara and the leech... there wasn't really time to talk."

Putting my hand on her shoulder, I shake my head softly. "Don't apologize. Just... can you tell me now?"

Her eyes shift nervously. "I... The rose ceremony..."

"... is in two hours. We have time."

She sighs. "Alright, I guess you're right." Sitting on the bed, she gestures for me to do the same.

For a long time, she does nothing but stare at her hands. Just when I think that she'll never talk, her lips start moving.

"What did you say?"

Her eyebrows furrow and she lays her head on my chest. "I met her at the pool... at the time, I was still learning to swim and she was a lifeguard. She saved my life once, she was the only one who noticed me drowning." She sighs. "Deja. My last girlfriend... she was the reason that I lived. She would call me her love, and she was mine. I was going to propose," her voice breaks, "but then I got a job opportunity far away. When we got the news, we were torn, because Deja couldn't live in New York... that's where  her awful mother lives. So, knowing that I wouldn't take the job because of her, she up and left."

She closes her eyes, a tear slipping down her cheek. "I can still remember the beach... strawberry perfume and piña coladas. And pandas." She smiles faintly. "She loved pandas."

I wrap my arms loosely around her waist. "Anna, I'm so sorry..."

"The awful thing is that I didn't even end up keeping the job. The boss sexually assaulted me, and luckily I had another job lined up back in my old town, but... she was long gone by then."

"I'm so sorry," I repeat, rubbing gentle circles on her arm.

She closes her eyes. "I need a nap."
