I stand in my room looking into the floor length mirror. My emotions fly everywhere as I look at the beautiful bride staring back at me. This is it. Today I will become Mrs. Elizabeth Mikaelson.

Marcellus and Rebekah enter. Rebekah gasps. "Oh, Lizzie, you look absolutely stunning. Elijah won't be able to keep his eyes off you!"

A smile fills my face. "You think so?"

"I know so!" Marcellus takes my hand and kisses it. "You look amazing, momma. Are you ready?" Suddenly, it felt as if butterflies were having a celebration in my stomach. I look at him nervously and he gives me a reassuring smile. "You can do this. This is your day. I'll be right next to you."

I nod which motioned to start walking out to the wedding party outside. The orchestra played as we get ready to walk. Rebekah walks first leading the way. I place my arm in Marcellus's, holding on for dear life as my heart quickens. As we walk, it pounds faster. Then, I seen him. My noble gentleman, my one true love. My Elijah.

Suddenly, the worries were gone and it felt like it was just him and I. I only remembered what was happening when Marcellus stopped and we were at the end of the aisle. The preacher smiles at us. "Who gives this woman in holy matrimony?"

I look to Marcellus with an endearing smile as he says. "I do."

Elijah holds out his hand for me and take it without question. As the preacher says his word, our eyes never leave one another's , grins filling our faces. "The couple has prepared their own vows. Elijah?"

His hands tighten around mine and I can see nervousness in his eyes. "No words can possibly express the vow that I give to you now - it is an ineffable part of myself that I place in your care as we join together. My commitment to you is one I give willingly, absolutely, and without hesitation. Every promise I make to you is one I feel is not a burden, but rather a gift - I don't HAVE to honor and cherish you, I GET to, I GET to have you be the person I spend the rest of my life with, I GET to be there for you and support you. It is my fantastic pleasure to be in the position to be there for you my love. As these years turn to centuries, and centuries to decades, I will love you more each day. For only you, Elizabeth Gerard, are my only weakness. I vow to fiercely love you in all your forms, now and forever. I promise to never forget that this is a once in a lifetime love. And to always know in the deepest part of my soul that no matter what challenges might carry us apart, we will always find our way back to each other."

Tears slide down my cheeks at his beautiful words. The preacher looks to me. "Elizabeth?"

My heart skips a beat and I take a deep breath. "Elijah, You have made me feel more loved than I ever thought possible. Today, I give you all that I am, and all that I have. Just as I give you my hand to hold today, I give you my heart, my faith, my life. I choose you today. And I would choose you again tomorrow. I would go on choosing you the day after, and every day for the rest of our lives. You are my once-in-a-lifetime. I never thought that I could meet someone like you. I love you."
