I walked and walked until I stumbled clumsily into a puddle of water by a lake, and started crying desperately. Searching for answers in the unknown existence of my mind. It was all mixed up. I didn't know who I was anymore.
I tried to get on my feet, only for my knees the fold back up, and splash me in the puddle once more. I could no longer tell whether the wetness on my face was from the puddle or my eyes. The Earth seemed to spin and shake underneath me, and I got dizzy. Leaning towards a bush, I vomited to release the tension inside my stomach. Yet all it did was make it worse.
Finally, I was able to stand. I wiped off my face with my sweat-covered T-shirt, and turned back to what I only knew as “home”. Which was never what it was to me. “Pain” would be a likelier word to describe it.
I wandered aimlessly, trying to find something to calm me down, but everywhere I looked, it reminded me somehow. I couldn't focus on anything. My vision went blurry, and I couldn't see where I was going. I stumbled, but this time I caught myself.
“H-huh?” Who said that? I thought to myself as I fixed my stance. I squinted my eyes to be able to see the figure standing in front of me. “W-what was that?”.
“Oh, poor thing.” The short girl mumbled, to herself mostly. “I asked if you were okay.” She said in a concerned tone.
“Y-y-yeah. I'm alright.” I couldn't help but choke up at the untrue words. The girl looked up at me with glowing eyes.
Suddenly, she grabbed my hand and quickly took me along with her on a walk.“Where are we going?” I asked. She must have picked up on my panicked tone, so she stopped, turned, and gave me a reassuring smile.
“It’ll be fun. I promise.” She held out her pinkie to make a swear. With a shaky hand, I swore on her words. And with that, we were off again.
Very, very short beginning, but I just wanted to see how it worked out. I don't really know if I will continue this story, but I really hope that I get the chance to :3
