Do you know what it's like to get completely comfortable in a place and then had to be shipped to another one for no reason? Yeah it's toats amazing. Having no idea where you're going, who you're talking to, or where anything is. It's terrifying. Especially in my tiny, seven year old mind. And it's no better that they made North Stone Elementary a freaking two story building filled with disgusting, narcissistic brats that are always up to no good. Like who in their right mind thought that was okay? Oh, yeah. Right the Jackson County School System did. Remind me to thank them later. Ugh. But this school wasn't all too terrible. In fact, I made some of my best friends here.
So at this school, I kind of went through a tomboyish kind of phase, or maybe it's the fact that I'd rather hang out with guys than girls, I don't know. But the majority of my closest friends at North Stone were guys and I actually still talk to a few of them today. The main person I always talked to, and always had the same class as was Jacob Black (No, not the werewolf ). But me and Jake were always with each other. We had lunch together, we always sat beside each other in class, and I would talk to him all the time. There was even a year at North Stone when at the beginning of the year, Jacob and I weren't in the same class. And I was a little upset but I still saw him here and there so it was okay. But I honestly think his teacher quit or something because one day I walked into class and the desk were rearranged. Usually they were in groups but that day, I walked in and the desk were in long rows. And when I finally fished my name out of the pool of desk, the desk to my left had "Jacob Black" written on a cheesy sentence strip that was cut to fit his name. At first I was confused but then I got happy because Jacob was my best friend and I finally got to be with him all the time again. He was great.
I had other friends too, I just wasn't as close to them as I was to Jacob. There was Rick, which was a friend of Jake's; Mark, who was a friend of Rick's and I'm pretty sure he was the starter of the duck tape trend in fifth grade; Chris, who was mute to everyone but me; David, who I always talked about football with and pretended to know more than I did (I also liked him at one point); And there was the only girl I really talked to: Lacey Jae King (who also liked David at this point). So I wasn't completely lonely at this point. I had a good amount of friends and actually always had a lot of fun at this school.
My most favorite part of everyday was specials. And by specials I mean art, PE, technology, and my favorite of them all: Music. This is where all the pieces start falling into place. The music teacher was one of my favorite people of all time. I looked forward to seeing her once every week. And her name was Mrs. Walden. Mrs. Walden always had a burst of energy. Her class was never boring. Everything she did and everything she taught was so intriguing to me. I was fascinated. I remember coming into her class and she would be crocheting something at her desk. It would take her a couple of weeks to get a blanket or scarf done. I also remember going to her class one day and she was eating an onion. Like legit. You know how people eat apples? So imagine that but the apple being an onion. She was so strange but it was all so great. But I honestly think there was always more of a reason as to why I was obsessed with her class and why I was obsessed with her. I was obsessed with her son. You guessed it.
Her son was Maxwell Walden.
