Choices

Ronan's POV

The sunlight in the room woke me up. Kara was still asleep. I looked at her and felt guilty of my thoughts about her last night. 

Your were drugged by your brother. 

My wolf told me

We are strong not like other wolves, the effects of the drug are worn out by now. Our mind is clear and we have to devise a strategy. I believe this woman lying here is our mate and I have this urge to protect her even if you don't want her

Its not that I don't want her but i am afraid that she might be afraid of me especially after last nights events. I was ogling her like all the fools out there

My dear human it is not your fault you were acting under the influence of the drugs and she knows it so don't worry about that. Ryan just wanted to break your resolute. He knows that you are not affected by the charms of Kara.  

We have to make the right choice now either We join Ryan and his goons or we give Kara her rightful place beside us.

I looked at the peaceful face in front of me. I touched her cheek jolting her to her consciousness. She was bewildered and looked at me with fear in her eyes. 

""Kara don't be afraid of me. I was under the influence of drugs last night. Just trust me." 

I told her

"Why should i trust you when you have never trusted me"

she replied

 "I am sorry for what I have put you through Kara but today and forever I need you"  

"I know that you have always been right that You are my mate. It was me who never accepted it." 

"But I have accepted it now and I want to make it right this time. I want to mark you as mine Kara so that every wolf out there knows that you are my mate."

My request made her quiet

"Do you even know Ronan what you are asking of me"

"After marking me we would be bonded together and you would feel all my pain. It could drive you crazy. I don't want that for you. I want you to survive even if they kill me." 

I looked at her. 

She is in love with me but I was a fool to not believe her  before.

I put my hand on her cheek again and kissed her forehead. 

"I want to mark you Kara. Please let me, our fates are inter wined from the beginning we cannot change that but together perhaps we can change the world" 

She closed her eyes and sighed 

"OK"

In that moment all my senses were heightened. I trailed kisses from her forehead down to her cheek and neck until I found a spot on her neck to make my mark. My canines extended and I broke into her delicate skin making her mine.

We were one now. I could feel all her emotions and she could feel mine. Her soul was so pure. My wolf reprimanded me again about my previous callousness with her.

She looked into my eyes and told me to forget the past. 

The footsteps outside the door were harbinger of the coming challenges.
