Chapter 7

One eye was black with a red iris. He jumped out of bed and ran out to another room. You quickly followed. A violent vomiting sound could be heard before you entered.

"Haise" You yelled in surprise and went to rub his back to soothe him.

Finally registering that someone else was there. He turned to look at you. His face was in horror. "No!" he whimpered "Why are you here?"

He bent over his stomach, clenching his head. He began to scream like you had heard that one day. Fear overcame you. Something was wrong.

He began to laugh like a madman.

"Meat, I want meat." He exclaimed his mouth salivating.

"Um I can go see if there's any in the ..."

Haise began laughing again. Then he started yelling. "NO NO NO!"

He kept clenching his head. Once his yelling stopped, he began to laugh, he snapped his head back in your direction giving a nasty smile. He ran to you and held you tightly. You squirmed trying to get out but you couldn't. He was too strong.

"Stop it Haise!" You yelled. "You're scaring me."

Next thing you knew, a sharp pain emitted from your shoulder. You looked to see what it was and he had bitten you. You screamed. Terrified, you started to swat at him so he would let you go.

He went limp and fell to his knees.

He looked up to you with a tear stricken face.

"Y/n, please go!" He pleaded.

You heart dropped. "But" you stammered.

"JUST GO!!!" He yelled angrily.

You ran out of the apartment leaving everything you had bought behind.

Once you were far enough, your legs gave out in shock. What the heck just happened?

You finally made it to your home. You were clenching your arm where he had bitten you. You quickly made your way into your apartment and made it to the bathroom while stripping your shirt. Your shoulder was covered in blood but luckily the wound wasn't too deep for you to have to go to the hospital.

You cleaned up your wound as best as you could and got dressed to buy some gauze from the convenience store close by. Once you made it back home. The blood had seeped through both of the t-shirts you had put on. You took them off and wrapped the gauze around your shoulder to stop the bleeding.

After you were done, you grabbed the laptop from your kitchen table and looked up results of what you had just experienced.

You put in several different search titles such as: black and red eyes, eats people, kind of psycho.

A lot of the answers were nonsense but your eyes stopped at the word GHOUL.

You clicked on the tab and it led to a video of a man describing what ghouls were. They were beings that lived among humans and they looked just like us. But their diet is different, the only thing they can have is human flesh and coffee. Anything else, their body rejects it. That's exactly what had happened when I tried to feed him soup.

And... and he always drank coffee. Realization hit you. But then the scientist went on to say that when they were hungry, both of their eyes turn. But with Haise, only one did. Why is that? Is it possible that he isn't full ghoul? So many questions filled your mind as you sat in the dark room in silence with your laptop running,
