Marcus called the police and they tooks us and David to the police station to declare. The boys asked me if I didn't want to call my parents, I refused and told them that I didn't even tell them anything about the other night, I didn't want to worry them. This made John scold me, which reminded me of my mom.

I explained to the officer everything that happened from the day that I saved Grace at the dark alley from David, until minutes ago when he attacked me with a knife. The officer told us that he was sure that David will remain behind bars. That made me feel relieved. After that, we walked out of the police station.

I'm feeling calm now but I'm still a little bit shaky. I don't know what would have been of me if they didn't appear at that moment. David was trying to put me inside his car to kidnap me or rape me, who knows. I close my eyes and take a deep breath.

"Rosy cheeks." I hear Alec say, making me open my eyes. "Here." He hands me a candy covered by a red wrapper. "It will calm you." I grab it.

"Thank you." I say to him and look at the boys. "Really, thanks to all of you. I'm so grateful." I say and feel my eyes starting to get wet, I suddenly feel vulnerable and weak as I remember the sharp knife on my stomach.

"You were really lucky." Marcus says putting a hand on my shoulder. "But I'm really glad that you're ok."

"Yeah. Thank God Marcus called the police because Alec was about to kill that man." John says looking over at Alec who is crossing his arms over his chest.

"Of course! He attacked Grace and Arianna! He deserved to die!" Alec is really angry, it's obvious by his tone of voice and his face.

"Calm down, man. It's over." Marcus pats his back to cool him down.

I put the candy in my mouth. It's strawberry flavoured, my favourite. All of a sudden, I cover my face with my hands. My parents are going to kill me! I didn't even text them. I grab my cell phone and look at the screen. I have twenty missed calls from them. If David didn't kill me, my parents will do it for sure.

"What happened?" Alec asks seeing me entering in panick.

"My parents. They will kill me!"

"Tell them that you are with your friends." John says while he unties his blonde hair, it reaches to his shoulder. "Cause you sure won't tell them what really happened, right?"

"Of course not." Not even in a million years.

"Tell them that you came across with us, and that you're having dinner with us. We'll drop you later." Marcus says. I nod but stop my movement.

I can't tell them that I'm with boys. I didn't even tell them that when I went to have dinner with Grace and her friends, that those friends turned out to be men. Instead of texting my mum telling her that I'm having dinner with Marcus, Alec and John, I tell her that I'm with Grace. That will do. I sigh when I send the text, catching the attention of Alec's blue eyes and he raises an eyebrow at me.

"Are they that bad?" He asks, almost laughing.

"They're just...old fashioned." I answer and put my cell phone back inside my bag.

By old fashioned I mean that they would think wrong if they see me hanging out without men that they haven't see me with before or known of. They always tell me that I have to be cautious around men, that they have to propose to me before to 'consummate love.' They also don't think it right that people nowaways are tattoed, pierced or with dyed hair of vibrant colors. There was one time that I wanted to dye my hair pink but they roundly denyed me to do it.
