it's almost Christmas Eve. And I'm super excited because Christmas is my favorite holiday. I was all by myself in my apartment. But I had to go out and grab some more things for everyone. So I showered and threw on my light blue jeans a red long sleeve shirt my black bubble coat and my Red and black custom uggs. I grabbed my keys and my purse and hopped in my car. I turned on my music and drove to the mall. I went right to toys r us first and got Zayden and Keon some toys and stuff. Brian wants to name his son zayden so I've stuck with that name instead of Cory, like Jeanivee wants. I then wobbled my ass over to prada to get Lani a diaper bag and Kay that purse she's been wanting. And my mom a new purse. Then I went and got my mom a Michel kors watch. I went into foot locker and grabbed shit from there. My ankles began to hurt so I went to a few mores stores then went home to wrap these shits. I unlocked the door and looked at the picture of me and Deon on my wall. I smiled Thinking about how much I've missed him. I went to the closet and took out the wrapping paper them turning on my iHome. The music played Christmas carols while I wrapped my presents. I turned it down as someone knocked on the door.
"Who is it?" I yelled
"Me open up its cold" I heard Kay say. I buzzed her in.
"Damn bitch what took you so long" she said closing the door
"I was singing my Christmas songs" I told her
"Bitch what. And didn't your doctor say no walking around " she said going in the kitchen
"Yes bitch but I had to finish Christmas shopping"
"Nani the presents take up half the living room" she said
"Can you just wrap those two bags or gifts for me" I asked her. She rolled her eyes and sighed dramatically.
"You don't miss Deon?" She asked me
"Yeah. I was just hoping he'd be home by now" I frowned
"He'll be home soon" she said
"I hope so" I said getting up
"How old are you Nani?" She asked
"18 why?"
"Exactly why you peeing on yourself?"
"I didn't pee- Oh my. My water broke. Kay my water broke" I yelled
"Oh my god. Okay what's the number for 911?" She said
"This isn't the time. Grab her diaper bag and car seat and meet me in the car" I told her. She ran upstairs and grabbed everything. I called my mom and told her. She was on her way to the hospital.
"I'm in labor" I yelled walking in holding my stomach. A nurse ran over with a wheelchair and rushed me to the back.
"Hi I'm Alicia and I'll be your nurse for now. Can you tell me how far apart your contractions are?" She asked
"8 minutes apart"I said breathing
"Okay good. You're only 3 centimeters dilated" she said
"What do you mean? She's ready to come out" I yelled
"Not yet. Just breathe okay and walk around if you'd like" she walked out
"Are You Okay?" My mom said running in
"Yeah it hurts" I whined
"I know baby girl " she kissed my forehead.
"Can I have some ice" I said paging the nurse.
"Good evening ms.tolbert" dr.Sebastian said holding my ice and clipboard. He hooked up the heart monitor and some other machines. I Heard my baby's heartbeat and I smiled. Realizing I'm gonna be a mommy sooner than I thought.
"Everything seems normal. So there shouldn't be any complications" he said. I nodded
"When will she come out?" I asked as another contraction came.
"Soon. Just breathe and walk around. I'll be in again soon to check on you". He said. It was now 1 in the morning. Finally Christmas Eve. Everyone was sleep around me. Kay, my mom, Giana, Brian and Giovanni. I was just up watching tv and listening to her heart beat. I recorded it on Snapchat just so I can always have it.
"Looks like a party in here" dr Sebastian said. I chuckled
"Look here you are ready to push" he said. I shook my mom and she woke up
"Guys Leilani is coming " My mom yelled and everyone woke up. I couldn't yell cause I was in pain.
"Two people in here only" the nurse said. Kay and my mom stayed everyone else left.
"On my three I'm gonna need you to push" she informed me. She counted and I pushed until I heard my baby's cry. They placed her on my chair and I watched as she cried. I cried with her.
