So much has happened in a year. Let's start with the sad shit first. Lia didn't make it sadly. Her funeral was a few weeks ago and mama Erica moved back to Thailand. Zyair hasn't been the same. He barely comes around anymore. Keon turned two and Lani is officially 1 and worse than ever. Kyra and Jordan made official. They're so cute. Deon and I are still not back together just yet. Kay and ivy recovered well. Deons mother still doesn't like me. And I don't care.

"Lets walk" I said picking up lani and putting her on her feet. It was no use she got lazy and sat down. We were all going to the beach to have a barbecue to celebrate Lia's 20th birthday

"Come on" Deon said walking out the house with Keon behind him.

"Can you stop at Walmart and get some buns and charcoal" I said reading the text from ivy

"I'll run in" Deon said parking in the front.

"Look lani" I said getting her attention.

"Here" Deon said handing me a bag and strapping Keon in. We drove for about 45 minutes before reaching the beach. It was nicely decorated. We all wore our neon pink shirts except the kids. She loved neon pink. The music going and the grill was lit. There were pictures of her all over and they had a blanket with her face on it. We lit 20 candles with her pictures on them

"This is nice" I said wiping my eyes Realizing I was crying.

"I don't want no one to be sad y'all. Let's turn the fuck Up cause that's what she would've wanted" Kay said with her red cup in her hand already.

"I'm take the kids to the water" my mom said picking up Leilani

"What's in your cup" I said looking over into Giovanni cup

"Something you ain't getting" he mugged me

"Stop being stingy gio" I whined reaching for his cup

"Deon get her" he said

"Kiania stop" Deon said

"Nigga who is you talking to" I said raising my hand making him flinch.

"Oh Okay" I said.

"You gonna let her bitch you bruh?" Jordan said

"I don't wanna argue with her" Deon said passing out the cards. Giovanni had got up for a second and I took a sip of his drink and was ready to throw up

"Told yo ass" he said coming back with a hot dog

"That's strong As fuck" I said wiping my tongue

"This is henny ciroc and rose" he said

"That's nasty. I want some more though" I laughed

"No nani" Deon said

"Y'all Are no fun" I said getting up and going to make me a plate. I made the kids plates since they were coming back to the tables.

"Heyyyy"

"Zyair" I yelled and jumped on him

"How you been" he smiled

"Good. Everyone over there" I said pointing.

We ate and had a good time for carsalia because that's what she would want. We sang happy birthday and shed some tears. I honestly remember the first time I met Lia back in 3rd grade

"I'm Brenda and I like to read " some little white girl said. We were going around introducing ourselves to the class.

"I'm Kiania and I'm not here to make friends" I said swinging my feet

"I'm carsalia and I like money" Lia said

"I'm Vivian and I like cookies"

"I'm Jeanivee and I wanna go home"

"I'm sukaya and I like to dance"

We had to pick groups for some activity where you draw a picture of all the. Things you like and show it to the class. I picked Lia Kay and ivy.

"Can I work with yall" some boy asked

"No" we all said at once

"Fuck you too" he said walking away

"My daddy said boys like that Are broke boys" ivy said coloring shaking her head

"Mhm" I agreed

"He's cute though" Kay said

"Right." The rest of us agreed.
