"Shh" I said putting my finger to my mouth

"I mean it didn't go any further" I shrugged

"You is nasty" she said laughing

"Stop it" I said "drop me back off at work"

"I Gotchu" she said grabbing her purse

"Thanks boo" I said getting out the car

"You're back early" Tanya one of the bitches that work here said

"Got off my case for once. You always worried about me" I said clocking back in

"Nurse Tolbert we need you in the E.R department" Nurse Lee a short Asian lady tapped me

"Okay here I come" I said placing my stuff down in my locker

"What we got here?" I said putting on my gloves

"Gunshot victim. We can't find the bullet" Paul, A specialized doctor said

"What do you mean?" I said as the patient groaned

"We can't find it. It's traveling" Paul said

If we didn't find this bullet he can die. And I sure wasn't having that on my watch. I lightly pushed where the bullet entered and his heart monitor started to slow down.

"Got it. I found it" I yelled. It traveled near his lungs.

"great job. Kiania" paul started yelling orders.

I had to go meet with Keon's law guardian after work. I finished up at work and headed home to change real quick. I put on a blue jean blouse white jeans and a my jean lace up flats.

"Hi Ms.Tolbert" Laura said sitting at the table with me

"Hi" I smiled

"Well the official court date of the custody decision is next month on the 8th." I nodded

"We are granting the grandparents custody until then. So within the next two days they are eligible to come pick him up. If at any point in time you contact them or Keon once he is in their custody, you will be placed in jail for 90 days" she did the infamous white People smile

"That's not right. Giana specifically ordered them not to have any potential custody or contact with her son" I shook my head

"I understand that ms.tolbert but we as a district have decided that they should have custody until the court date. You are not biologically related to this child. If you don't like it they can have permanent custody" she shrugged

"I don't like your attitude. I don't like you. and I don't like these terms" I said walking out.

"Bullshit" I said to myself. I drove to the jail Deon was in and asked for an emergency visit.

"Who are you to the inmate?" The officer asked

"His baby mother" I told him

"Alright. 20 minutes to an hour" he said patting me down.

"Didn't think I'd see you" Deon said sitting down allowing them to remove his hand cuffs

"Me neither. But that's not the point" I sighed

"So what's the point?" He said

"Keon is being taken away from me until the 8th of next month. He's to be with Giana's parents. And I am to have no contact until the court date"

"What the fuck happened to my son?" Raised his voice

"Nobody did anything to your son. They want custody and you being in here is making this process difficult. They don't feel we're fit enough for this" I frowned

"They shortened it to 5 months if that helps."

I shook my head. "It doesn't"

"I'll just have to fight this battle on my own" I said getting up and leaving.

"Thanks" I said to Brian when I walked into the house. He went to get the kids from daycare for me.

"No problem. You okay?" He asked

"Yeah I'm Fine. Just tired"

"Alright. Get some sleep. Love you" he said hugging me

"Love You Too" I hugged him and he left. I went upstairs to have to go back downstairs cause someone wanted to bang in my damn door

"You slept with my man?" Kyra said walking in

"What? No. I didn't do anything with him"

"Mhm. Deon will find out about this" she said crossing her arms

"It was a simple kiss. Nothing more than that" I told her

"yeah whatever" she said walking out

I rolled my eyes and closed my door. Shit is just falling apart. I kissed my babies and fell asleep
