Ever since the visit at the rehab I've been getting myself together. I want my boys to be proud to call me their mother. So I got a job as an operator for a phone company. I also bought a house and a car. I'm going to my mothers house now to see what's up with them. I pulled into the driveway and got out. I rung the doorbell and heard talking then the door opened.

"What are you Doing here" Giovanni asked

"Hi. Uh may I come in" I said smiling. I took a deep breath. He looked me up and down then stepped back opening the door all the way. I walked in and there was a pretty light skin girl sitting on the couch.

"Hi you must Vanessa. I'm Sukaya, Giovanni girlfriend" she said extending her hand. I shook her hand and smiled.

"You're pretty. Nice to meet you" I said. Giovanni grilled us

"I'm gonna head home. Call me later Vanni" she said walking out. It was an awkward silence.

"Where's your grandmother?" I asked Breaking the silence

"Out" zyair said bluntly

"Oh" I said examining the pictures on the wall.

"Yeah." Giovanni said

"What bring you here?" Zyair said

"Well actually I came to talk." I said

"There's nothing to talk about" he said standing up and grabbing my arm.

"Woah" I said snatching my arm away. "First of all I am your mother. And I spent 9 months carrying you. I had to go through hell dammit to make sure y'all survived. I was raped multiple times in order to keep from getting y'all killed by my damn father. He was jealous and manipulative. I turned to drugs and I regret that shit. If I could take it all back I would. I had no other way to cope. I stayed out of your lives to avoid torturing you any longer. And I'm trying now to make up for it but y'all are making so difficult." I yelled and wiped my face.

"If you don't want me in your lives so be it. But at least I know I tried" I said looking at them and grabbing my purse. I headed for the door and felt a hand touch my arm. Giovanni stood there with tears in his eyes

"I'm sorry" he whispered

"It's Okay" I told him pulling him into a hug. Over his shoulder I saw Zyair staring. I raised an eyebrow and he just shook his Head and walked upstairs. I frowned a Little letting go of Giovanni

"He'll come around" Vanni told me

"Yeah. Hopefully. But um what are you doing this weekend. I wanna take you and your girlfriend to the new water park"

"Nothing actually. I just have to see about her." He told me.

"We definitely need to catch up" I said

"Yeah. What's your number"

I took out my phone and he saved his number in my phone under "Son💰🤞🏽💜". And saved mine under "Mom👸🏽💙". I didn't stay to long after that once my mom got there I talked for a bit with her then went home to finish up my work. I showered and ate something Texted Giovanni goodnight and fell asleep. I really wonder what's up with zyair.
