After a while...
"Turn those Damn lights off," someone yelled. I look to see it was dark.
"We played for hours, I got to get home," Shikamaru said. I nod.
"Well I had fun. See you tomorrow." He left. I put on my pjs and flop onto something. I think it was the couch. I don't know because I fell asleep as soon as my face hit the soft surface.
The next morning...
I wake up to the sun shining on my face. I look at the clock. It's 6 am. I groan. I get up. I fell asleep on my couch. That's progress. I'm now starting to sleep on soft surfaces. I take a shower and put on my outfit. I walk out and close the door behind me. I stumble to the training ground, still sleepy. I soon arrive to see Shikamaru there.
"So your early," he said to me.
"You too," I yawn to him.
"Still tired?"
"Yep. I'm going to sleep in the tree. Tell me when they get here."
I walk to the tree. I lay on a branch and sleep. I soon after a while hear voices.
"DAVI GET UP," Someone yelled. I groan.
"Do you have to do that?"
"Shikamaru can't wake you up, so I did." I, again, groan.
"Then look out below." I fall onto my back to get catched. I was confused. I look to see Shikamaru.
"Thanks."
"You shouldn't fall." He let me down.
"Alright, lets start with something simple. Get the bells from me," Asuma sensi said holding up 4 bells.
We nod. He goes to the middle of the grassy field. He stands there like no other. I roll my eyes. I stood across from him. I squint my eyes. Where's an opening to get the bells? I look. My eyes fixated behind him. He doesn't look behind himself. I hide in the bushes. I walk. I was behind him. I did hand-signs.
"Crystal Style: Crystal Cage. "A regular cage formed, trapping him inside. I run out. I smirk.
"Good, Davi... except you forgot one thing."
"What?"
"Never fall for a shadow clone."
"Huh?" I felt a pair of hands on my shoulders. I turn. There was Asuma Sensi.
"Hi," he said. My eyes widen. I did hand-signs.
"Crystal Style: Crystal Barrier." A crystal barrier formed around us. It was large enough. I look at the outside. The guys looked at us. I turn back to Asuma sensi.
"You got the strong will, but do you have the smarts?"
"Oh yeah I do." Soon he couldn't move.
"How?"
"You don't know is that Shikamaru's Shadow Possession Jitsu can penetrate my crystal barrier without a single trace. Choji can then break the barrier. Without saying anything they understand. You can say I'm better with boys then girls." He smirked.
"Good job. You got me."
I nod. Choji broke the barrier. Crystal particles can down. I smile.
"And hence, how I'm a great person with strategy."
A few days later (like 3 weeks)...
We all were in the training ground. I was practicing on a tree. I was practicing on my own trick. Making a crystal sword. Sharp, so it can penetrate skin. I hear someone come. I did hand-signs.
"Crystal Style: Penetrate Crystal." The crystal broke.
"So you were here," a voice asked. I turn to see Choji and Shikamaru.
"Yep. Wha cha need?"
"We're going out for some BBQ, You coming?"
"Sure." I follow them and we go to BBQ. I like BBQ, but not as much as ramen. We soon arrive and see Asuma sensi with Ino.
"You guys finally came," Ino said.
"We were training," I respond in my normal dull voice.
"Okay whatever." We go inside and order. Of course, Choji gets so many things. I sit next to Shikamaru. Asuma sensi at the head. Choji was across from Shikamaru and Ino across from me.
"So, I signed you guys up for the Chuin exams," Asuma sensi said.
"Damn it," I mutter quietly.
"Huh," Choji asked.
"Nothing," I say quickly.
"Anyway, it's this Friday."
"Okay, so we all are going," Ino asked.
"Yep, that's good for you. To get practice." We nod. He hands us slips. I sigh. The Chuin exams are 2 days before my birthday, tomorrow. We finish our food and Asuma sensi paid.
"Okay, meet tomorrow at the training grounds at 7am."
We nod and go our separate ways. I enter my apartment. I change into my pjs. I hop into my bed this time and fall asleep.
