Chapter 24: I'm awake... AND WHAT?!?!?!

Ino's POV

I saw Shikamaru lay on the grass and stare at the clouds. I was walking with Sakura to the infurmery to check on Davi's progress. It's hitting Shikamaru by storm. "Are you sure Shikamaru's okay," Sakura asked. I shrugged. "I'm not sure. Davi has a big effect on Shikamaru. She's always giving him a smile," I answered. We walked in the infurmery and a bunch of things are going off. "Let me through," Someone shouted. We looked to see Davi, trying to get to the door, but doctors are stopping her. "I... gotta... find... Shika-kun," She yelled. "Davi!" I ran towards her and hugged her tightly. "I...Ino," She asked. I nodded. "Davi... I'm glad you're okay," I said with relief. "What happened?" "We got to rebuild the village." I let her go and looked at her. "But everythings fine," I finished. She looked at me with a smile on her face. "Well that's great, now where's Shikamaru?" "Outside, why?" "He owes me dinner!!" "WHA," Everyone yelled. "That's why you wanted to get out," I ask. "Yeah. He thought that I wouldn't survive without a scratch on my body, look." I looked at her from head to toe. She wore a hospital gown, and no wounds were on her. "H-How-?" "I don't know!! I feel great though!!!" "Davi, I think you should rest. You've been out for a week." "A week?! That isn't enough to take me down! That reminds me, what about my clothes?" She turned to the corner of the room where there was ripped up clothes. "Damn, I have no clothes now," She finished. She laid on one of the beds, I believe it's hers, and groaned. "Well, I can find some clothes for you," I said. "Thanks Ino!" I smiled and walked out. I turn to Shikamaru. "What," He groaned. "You might wanna check the infurmery, some news just came up," I said. I headed away to go find Davi some clothes.

Davi's POV

I groaned. What's Ino gonna get me for clothes? I hear someone chuckle. "Still the same, I see," A voice said. I sat up fast. I turned to see... Shikamaru. A smile was brought on my lips. "Well Shika-kun, you never fail to dissapoint me," I said. He sat next to me. "Guess what," I asked. "What?" "You owe me dinner! Hahaha!! I lived without a scratch!" He looked at my body and sighed. "So where to?" He placed his head on his hand. "Nowhere for now, since the village is being rebuilt." "I still have to make this up to you, you know that right?" "Yeah, I know. Now, you must be busy. Go ahead and do whatever. I'll be fine here by myself." "Davi just woke up. Do you know how much I missed you?" "Shikamaru, I know you. I know how much you missed me because I missed you just as much. I was just in space thinking about shit that really was confusing me. I missed your touch, your attittude, your kisses." I placed my hand on top of his. "I wish I wasn't apart from you at all," I finished. I kissed his cheek. "You mean the world to me Davi." I nodded and sat on his lap. I rested my head on his chest. "You mean the world to me too Shikamaru." His arms wrapped around me. I fell asleep in his nice embrace.

Next Week...

Progress was made, that's all I could say. I don't know what my outfit is because Ino hasn't been here yet! I've been in the infurmery while everyone is doing stuff to protect the leaf. I haven't done much stuff since I was here! At that moment, Ino ran in with clothes in her hand. "I found some clothes for you Davi! Here, get dressed! Something happened!" She ran out. I got the clothes on. I looked down at myself.

Okay, this isn't half bad. I ran towards where Ino was going. When I got there, I see other ninja from a different village. I looked at them closely. Shikamaru, Choji, Kiba, Shino, Lee, Neji, and Naruto looked at them and narrowed their eyes. "Where is Davi Utumai," One asked. Must be the leader. I scoffed. "Why do you want me? I didn't do shit wrong," I shouted towards them. They all were men. "Davi Utumai, you must return home to get married. As the princess of the village, I advise you stand down." My jaw dropped. Everyone's jaw dropped. "Hell no. I belong to this village. I don't know who the fuck you people are and I don't advise to go with you by any means neccisary!" I growled. He held up a scroll and tossed it to me. I looked at it and didn't believe it. All proof, right here. I growled again and looked at them. "I'm not going. No matter what. I am Davi Utumai of the Leaf Village! I won't abandon anyone, not even my home, friends, or family!" "As of 9 days ago, Kisha Utumai has been dead. We request you, Davi Utumai, to return to the Tree Village and fill your purpose!" I froze. My mind seemed blank. Dead? I didn't listen to my surroundings. I let my guard down. I fell to my knees. I stared at the ground. Tears streamed down my face. I didn't hear. It was like I couldn't. I knew people yelled and called my name. Why do I feel so dead inside? What's wrong with me? I could only hear one voice. "DAVI!!!" I didn't move. I was sweeped up from my feet and the person took me away, but I didn't know who. I was just, frozen. Tears fell onto my shirt. I was not happy. My usual bubbly self was crushed. I was set on the ground and the person shook me. My vision was blurred with my tears. "I can't," I mumbled. "You can't what?!" "I can't... think. My mind is blank. Everything around me is nothing but silence. All I could hear is one person and that person is shouting my name and talking to me." "Davi, you need to snap out of it. They're gonna get you if you don't!" "I-I just can't. I'm crying so much that my vision is very blurry. I can't stop." I felt someone embrace me. "I'm right here.. you're fine." I realized who it must've been. "Shikamaru?" "Yeah, I'm right here." I snuggled into his chest. "Don't let them take me away." His grip tightened around me. "I won't ever let them get you." I nodded.

Time skip...

They didn't take me away, although I was very blank. I lay on the grass for about 4 hours. My blonde hair was spread out. I stared at the clouds. I felt a presence next to me. Turning my head, I meet the gaze of Shikamaru. "Yeah," I ask. "You look so lazy right there," He said. "I know, and I'm proud."
